[GregTech-6][1.7.10] Moved to Website

  • It's not bits, it's pixels.

Is it meant that centrifuge also requires the stainless steel plates? I always thought it's lower tech level than ind. electrolyzer.

  • Technically, each default Minecraft block/item texture is 6144-bit or 8192-bit, depending on if transparency is counted.

  • I'm used to txturepack lingo where we say 32bit. It's a far sight easier than saying 'thirty two by thirty two'.

  • It's not possible because we use host names and default port :(

Report: Spawnx is saying tungsten dust can be used in a normal furnace.... I never touched the settings so what gives? Bug or?

It is possible. A host name isn't tied to a port, xxx.stonelegion.com:8080 is perfectly valid. All you'd have to do is forward port 8080 to port 25565. Also, HTTPS uses 443 by default, not 8080.

If the port is forwarded, you don't have to change the game settings. Or else move the game to port 8080, and no forwarding is needed.

You are correct that 8080 is http not https (it can be proxied), so make sure you can initiate direct connections to port 8080. Some networks employ a transparent proxy, and it won't work.
In that case you should try 8443 (alternate https), which might be open. I use that trick to get through a restrictive proxy.

  • Sirus, the MFSU and MFE texture look like shit. Why would you even consider putting it in 32bit when all it does is adds more room for error? I hope you revise your design and reclaim your sanity when you recreate it in the normal 16bit style.

So you want less room for error? I will do a 1x1 image then, obviously a block of solid colour is cool nowadays.

  • Hey Sirus quick question (sorry it's off topic but) does the QuantumSuit Bodyarmor's levitation currently work? If so how do you get it to work, I can't seem to figure it out. I can activate hover mode but that's about it

    Try Boost + M.

  • Kane Hart's Server, IC² exp 155 latest GT :
Tungsten/Titanium/Chrome/Aluminium dusts can be smelted in regular furnace (alongside Blast furnace).
Configs are okay (BF requirements are all true) according to Kane.

  • I'm hoping greg takes some time off from adding new features (unless he is currently working on some) to make GT versions of all the new IC2 stuff. The new machines should have GT counterparts, or be disabled, and I can't wait when the new ore stuff is compatible with GT.

  • V4.03c:
Fixed Blast Furnace Requirement for certain Materials. I had a small Typo causing all possible Materials to be Furnace compatible.
Added a Config inside the GregTech.lang to enable it. Set it to true if you have other GT Language Files. That is only because if I change the Default Name of something, it will not recognize the Default to be changed.
    Added Steel and TungstenSteel Tools.

  • What is Tungsteels stats?

    Also, Is this better? ;p
I made it a little smoother by actually making it a little blockier.

These textures are fines to me :)
As for the Steel, I guess it's like RC, +50% of durability (vs Iron) ?

Thinking about the 2nd oxydation reaction ever human had to use ...

Some C + Some Fe and O oxyde depending on the Ore --> (or = if you consider it's "easily" reversible) Some Fe + Some CO2
    (
    )
    Which lead me to:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloomery
    AND THEN:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blast_furnace

So basically, we need a Clay/Stone/Brick Blast Furnace structure, that would only do Iron.
Then Steam Machines could be done with Bronze and Iron as well, and then you could make the Bronze/Iron Blast Furnace for Steel.
So ... Stone Age --> Bronze Age --> Iron Age + beginning of Industrialization --> Steel Age and Electricity. Not like Steel wasn't used before but ...

Edit: to be even more accurate, Steel should be obtainable IMO with a bigger Bloomery (which you could use for Weapons or what you want but at an extremly high cost), but in a WAY cheaper way (bad pun)with the Blast Furnaces creating Cast Irons you could turn in Steel again after that:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steel
(Was mentionned in French at least, but I didn't read the english one, because I don't know the scientific words for the differents Alloys/Process ^^)
So even though you could get Steel before the Bronze Blast Furnace, you wouldn't be able to process enough to get the Steel Age, it could be like 16 Charcoal/Coal for one Steel.

(PS: I said Charcoal because theoretically it's much more efficient. What about a config to buff Charcoal (Charcoal Dusts, recipies in BF etc ...) when Forestry/MFR and such aren't detected ?)

Soon with Molten Salt Reactors, right ? :D
    NERF THA FUSION REACTOR!

hats about doing something completly differnet from all designs you had before?

Something completely different? Ok, Done! This the final design, already sent to thunder dark and it will stay as the MFSU texture forever:
