I was wondering if it''s possible to use the Trade-O-Mat to e.g. sell beer. This would be a really nice feature on SMP servers 
Also, if this is not impossible, might I suggest implementing it? It could be made so it only takes booze with the exact same name out of the personal chest...
You can, booze uses metadata but we might migrade them to NBT.
Sidenote: I think enough time has passed since the 1.95 release so I'm going to say that - 1.95 fixed an enchantment duplication bug - for example, if you placed a Efficiency V diamond pick in the sell slot and put several unenchanted/other-enchanted diamond picks in the chest, all sales would end up in Efficiency V picks.

Why is it important that it's been a while since 1.95 was released -- are you somehow forbidden from posting bugfixes shortly after releases?
Existing servers that haven't migrated yet, so I gave them time to migrate.
