[Bug] [v1.0] Fibre Cabling EU Loss

  • I think the EU loss on fibre is incorrectly set (or the wiki is outdated) I'm currently experiencing loss off 1EU per 40 fibre cables (which would make the loss 0.025 instead of the documented 0.05). 40 blocks would probably make fibre a tiny bit too awesome though I'll leave that for you to decide.

Also, though I don't know if this is a bug, I seem to be able to transport currents higher then the rated amount through a cable. I attached a dozen or so MFSU's to some fibre cabling all converging to another MFSU. The EU-reader reported a EU/t of around 20k EU/t. I assume that this means it's not the sum of the EU/t that matters but the size of the individual pulses. Some clarification would be handy.

    Some screen-shots to clarify:

A cable's rating only determines the max packet size that can be sent through the cable. There is no limit to how many packets that can be sent.

Personally I'd like to see the EU-Reader display Average Throughput, Average Packet Size, and Average Loss of all packets that pass through the wire.

as said the cable can only support 512 eu going through it in a burst from that 1 point tho it can hold mutliple currents from different points but if you make a nuke reactor and get above that 512 eu threshold the cable will melt in which case you would go HV cable i believe as they can support a current over 1k EU i believe fiber cables are for range with average output tho i heard there are gonna be more cable types
