Don't get .358 it's not really stable there have been other reports of the game not even starting with that version installed, use any version in the 350's below version 358

Strongly recommend using Magic Launcher. It completely removes the need to mess around inside jar files. Just add forge first, then everything after that. It even works with optifine.
used it for a long time but if you want to send the mods to a friend its hard to install, and i get alot of issues

When i overwrote the new forge .358 , then i started my minecraft i kept stuck at updating minecraft done loading

huh, i downloaded it on this site http://www.minecraftforge.net/…0/prev_next,next.html#new and it is acutally an earlier version, i can't find the .355

It probably says that because you need 6.0.1.355 or higher without going into the 6.2 range
If i go to the forge site, the latest i can download is the one i already have

If i put it in the mod folder when latest forge installed. minecraftforge universal 6.0.1.349
it says i don't have the latest forge. Can anyne help me?
