Basically to efficiently light a base with illuminators, or that's what I would use if for at least.

What reactor setup did you use?

I don't know, sheer chance. Chill.

I am banking on the possibility of her releasing the closed beta at some point, but if it never happens meh, I'll have gotten much out of this world anyway

You mean pump it into a combustion engine(I think that's the one) and use transformers to convert it?

I've always just taken my mining laser and a lappack into a mystcraft world(How is that mod held in this community respect wise, by the way?) and gone trigger happy. I don't consider it that OP since the mining laser can take up quite a bit of EU in the way I use it.

Title says it all. Iron is pretty much always in short supply, and can be used for so much. Copper is used up quickly to expand my nuclear program. I was thinking of setting up a biofuel production facility, but at the scale I am thinking of the amount of space for farms would be huge.
Any ideas, I have about 3k as of now?

Peat burning is incredibly OP early game in forestry/buildcraft.
The initial investment is very low(30 copper or something in all, and some of this is for the machines required to make the engines), and requires no hard to find materials. one farm can supply 20 eu/t using the 2MJ to 5EU conversion ratio while only taking in a tiny amount of tin and some dirt and sand. It's not spacially economic compared to geo or nuclear, but it requires much less of an investment and can be automated easily.

About 20 MK1 reactors(including breeders). As long as I have enough uranium I can keep them going, I've only run out once or twice because I forgot to prepare more. I think it gives me about 2000 EU/tick. I've been making matter in preparation for the 1.3.2 release of redpower. Some sort of ungodly sized frame ship. It's nice, but the copper for the reactors took forever to mine.
