Yes, it was removed. There is a mods, which do it more simple and elegant way by turning all water to "finite" Forge type. You could probably find them in Minecraft forum by searching "finite liquids" or "finite water". Info about all fundamental changes in IHL contained in changelog.

Lathe is a part of iron workbench environment. To create some items you need a working lathe nearby to iron workbench. -
Yep, I had some research and there is an issue. I don't know why this system work before and why it is not working now. Fixing this will take some time. Take a break from IHL until I find a way to fix this.

Uhum. I notice that people tend to disable that feature in modpack and it was hard to keep it actual.

Flexible cable originally designed to transfer power between two energy tiles which are positioned a far away from each other without need to load chunks in-between. Although I never hear or read that someone use them anyhow. I made them not only complicated to craft but also too comlicated to setup HVDC line with them. -
Actually the maximum in game is 24 mm^2
Right-click at "set of dies" in Iron workbench output slot before crafting and set any transverse section between 0.1 and 135 sq. mm. After that use it in wire mill.
