I don't like the item queue at all really. I like how the machines are now. These are not suppose to be even better then the new overclocks. Really it's suppose to be a middle for players who don't have a crap ton of power to waste. Once you hit the level of crap ton of power to waste then all you need is a single slot on the new machines. You can literately do a stack in like 2 seconds from what I seen.

I rather see this mod be reborn and just working and then maybe consider adding new things rather then changing something we all enjoyed for many months.

And I also said that the Solar-Arrays are really great :P

But this doesn't mean that we only get better Solars (or not besser... let's call them compress solars) at the cost of advanced machines :P

And my argument stays. If there is more time necessary for improving the machine-system then we could still use the addon. Implementing the addon into IC2 just to make it obsolete by improving the upgrade-mechanics seems a bit odd.

lol. Yeah I would easily take compressed solar panels any day over the advance machines. But then I want the furnace removed <3

I would not normally request such a feature. But I found with the 3 Main Mods I use RP/IC/BC that IC seems to be the most unstable of all 3 of them. The part that hurts the most is when there i usually a major bug with the other 2 main mods we usually get a fix pretty fast once the devs see the bug. And even that they seem to have a few extra nerds on their end who will even create patch fixes and post the .class files for people to download and repair their game.

Example: Wooden pipes lost their side when you relogged. (Not critical, No Crashes, Just annoying) A member had fixed and shared the fix asap. Then a day or 2 later it was also patched into the main bins.

So its been 3 weeks and the Quantum Helm as far as I know should be fixed in 1.1. But rather then providing the users with a fix you let major servers crash and crash and even some servers disbanded and or had to bans suits and etc. I mean this was a disturbing thing from what I saw. Luckily the people with port the mod to bukkit and should not be touching anything decided to fix it for us.

Now 1.1 has dupe bugs, crashes, syncing issues and etc. The problem is we been told its fixed but we don't get the fixes and I assume there will be a 1.65 but I mean who knows we have had this happen before and it ends up being 1.72 maybe instead and we are left with nothing but chaos and disaster.

I don't know if this is true but since the tester sounded pretty pissed at what happen but it sounded like you guys did not even have testing done for the 1.6x version. I even heard there was a Let's Play Done on it before there was even testing done.

So this is why I am recommending that IC have nightly builds. If your going to keep it closed source and not join in with Build Craft and other projects then please do nightly builds so we can at least help you iron out these critical bugs before you release them.

This is coming from a Server admin of a low populated server of 15-20 online at max but still it's been rough for us and sometimes I wonder if its worth keeping on going. My users love IC and love IC a ton I even doing a Let's Play on it but I mean I have to say whats on my Mind I mean I donated to you guys twice because you rock and your hard workers and this not questioning this but its questioning the methods of hot fixes and testing for quality standards.

I hope people don't get mad at me I know there is a lot more SSP and none admins here but I just saying whats coming from my heart and I really just feel that nightly builds coming from a old school internet user seem to always be one the best things in communities.

    Thanks,

If this is so, then why the hurry? The addon exists nonetheless so the IC2-Team could take it's time to improve the modular system, because until they are finished you still could use the addon.

Well because I like it period. You seem to be wanting to fight about this more then you want to discuses it. Please you MCF for trolling and arrangements :)

    Back on topic.

I would not even mind the recipe but a lot more expensive bring some UU Matter elements into play. I just love the system of the system. But hell like I said even if they don't get added please highly consider the condensed solor panels.

But again, there is the addon. I guess the only reason this suggestion is here is because the addon isn't updated for 1.64

Actually the reason the suggestion is here if it was out or not is that many people use it and depend on it. The suggestion was based on a popular addon that seems to be used heavily from a lot of SSP games and SMP users :)

Yeah but again, why not use the module system to further improve the machines instead of creating totally new machines.

Would be easy to make a storage-module that gives your machine an additional input and output-slot (so if the machines finishs the first stack it is put into the output slot and the next input is taken). Or modules that make it possible to do more operations at the same time. Under quite ideal circumstances you would only place a machine-block and put certain modules inside to turn it into a macerator/compressor etc. But there would be some nasty coding involved, which makes it highly unlikely.

I like the solar-idea. It's nice and reasonable. And the tradeoff you have to pay for compressing your solars seems good (64 LV-T, 8 MV-T and 1 HV-T ^^). But for the advanced machines I would rather like improvements to the module-system.

Hey that might be a good idea. But meh that idea will take them ages. Only takes them 10min to do this and no texture work if they add advance ones lol

This is how I see it.

    Tier 1 = Vanila Furnace
    Tier 2 = Iron/Electric Furnace/Macerator ETC.
    Tier 3 = Advance Machines
    Tier 4 = Heavily overclocked Tier 2

But even that I rather have advance even if they were just a tad slower because I rather use them for the space they have and the special functions. Don't forget they still also drain 1 tick if left on. Make them drain 30 EU and 2-3 eu a tick and I would be happy I just like the features they offer for space and etc.. Just more convinence. It's almost like they were trying bring IC backworks and make it more hands on maintenance :P

The solar arrays all in 1 block is a must. Not for just convince or being compact but because the way the who grid works and the code. This will reduce a lot of backend lag.

If I had all the advance machines would I ever use the overclocks? Yes but clearly not mid and early game. to costly. But once I got a massive sorting system and pipes then damn right I want to move that stuff ASAP.

Plus overclockers like said offer a nice bonus at first but you need mid game and the overclocks just have way to much impact. TBH I don't know why were overclocking the old none handy machines anyways :(

    Jesus Christ kids.

    Tier 1 = Vanilla
    Tier 2 = IC/BC/RP
    Tier 3 = EE

Play the game more or less in this order using only a bit of EE stuff at first and your going to have a kick ass game. If you jump right into EE as fast as possible then you might as well have just did the same thing with IC Mass Fabs / Recyclers / RP Cobble Generators.

Anything and everything can be cheap. Just to learn how to play the mods with more balance and you will have a greater fun experience.

Or have Advanced Machines integrated, but allow people to choose if they want the Adv. Machines, and if they want the Solar Arrays. Separately, as some people might want the arrays, but not the Adv. Machines. Or vise-versa.

Options, Options hehe. We just need more options. Does not hurt to add both features and disable them. They added my fav lap crystal to miners!

Yeah I agree. Induction furnace alone is better then all 4 of the advance machines. Bring us the 3 others or remove the 1 were confused by this type of game design hehe. But for sure bring in the compact solar panels. This will fix so many players issues with the slowdowns and such.

The new overclocking system I guess is neat but its a bit rough. Uses a lot more power to get a decent speed and it makes starting from scratch a bore fest hehe. Maybe bring them in and disable them by default in the config?

Since this has not been brought up in a long long time I thought I would start.

We were hoping someday we would see the other 3 main machines brought into the same aspect as the induction furnace and this has never happen. Now a mod was born and most people shutup about it. Now were back to every update half of us can't update because we can't survive without our Advance Machines.

I can bet any money the author would love to have it added in the game so would a lot of other players and this is not taking it away from the author I mean mods are another way to express good ideas and great suggestions and I really think 900 replies and 200,000 views that maybe its time we consider adding in the advance machines into Vanilla IC?

Like I said I bet the author would be more then flattered and I think it would make a lot of people happy to see that popular in demand mods get added into the core of the game because its really just another way we express a suggestion.

    Thanks,
    Kane

PS: I guess I should really add more to this.

So we like to see the following:
    Advance Macerator, Compressor, Extractor.
Also the compact solar panel system is a must. It helps client/server performance none stop and why would anyone turn down 2048 packets attacking vs the 4 x 512 ;) for the HV Solar Panels!
