It will compress an 8x8x8 area next to it.Or eventually a 9x9x9 with the compressor being the center, turning itself into the cell (and thus requiring you to craft multiple ones if you want to carry multiple setups).

Implemented around 1.2 (IC version, not MC) to fix the issue of people placing cables into their own hitbox.

You can still place thicker cables below you while jumping, based on the fact you jump high enough to leave the blocks hitbox.

I think a machine taking up a whole lapotron (1kk EU) would work out.Probably it requires 1 piece of UUM, too. Sounds appropriate for the ability to throw a 8x8x8 chunk of expanding RStone onto your enemies.

I always wanted to create something like this (original idea behind the TerraFormer) but never found a good concept.

I think, abusing NBT tags could result in some fun stuff in this regard... how about building a small 8x8x8 area, powering a nearby space compression machine and getting a "Base in a cell" which will recreate the compressed area upon throwing? :3

I wanted to code a "dynamite inserter" at some point, either way:
Rightclicking a block mines the block BEHIND the clicked one and places a piece of tnt there.
May as well combine that with placing tagged tnt, with the inserter acting as remote.
