So basically, I want to turn as much of my supply of uranium into power as fast as possible. I looked through the high-efficiency reactors because, obviously, they produce the most EU/tick, but they all seem to have long cool down times that cut into time. Can anyone give me a good design?

All redpower machines do is simple stuff like moving items around or moving some frames (through i do see a balance problem with huge frames). There isnt anything yet in redpower that should eat up alot of energy.

Nice idea. But it should go through reinforced stone but the explosion power should be bigger ofc since its focused in 1 direction.

Balancing isnt equal to giving everything a chance of failure...

Added a list with some terms and their description. Should help new ppl understand the list better.

1 cycle is 10000 reactor ticks. A uranium cell last for 10000 ticks and 1 tick is 1 second.

It would be rather easy to light up caves like this so i suggest adding sticky torches (torch + sticky resin). The torchgun can only use these torches and nothing else.

1+ even if its just for consistency it should be added.

Alone uran cells arent good since they really reduce the efficiency. The reactor above is basically dezuman's reactor but with 1 depleted cell extra turning it into a breeder. Could probably be optimised a bit didnt put much effort in that.

Once redpower get a autocrafting bench i drop buildcraft. Redpower is simply way beter in every other way.

But i think this is too hard to do since you need to change every block ingame and it wont be compatible with other mods.
