I doubt you can even get a better cost ratio its too inefficient to have only single uranium cells. Not only because it consumes too much uranium but it also consumes too much precious space in your reactor which automatically leads to much higher costs.

I'm sorry this is my first post. But even a mark 2 can have an output of 28,000,000 and you never have to worry about it or do anything to it during its cycle you just have to the power going somewhere. That is a lot of power for just letting it sit and do nothing. Yes, once you get up to higher marks they do become harder. With a couple other mods though you can set up a really good emergency shutoff system. These can be very complicated and have many different fail safes just in case one of the shutoff switches doesn't work. It was just a suggestion... I'm just saying that 28,000,000 EU is quite a lot of energy for doing nothing. You know what i mean?
OH NOES THE ENDGAME POWER GENERATOR IS BETTER THAN A NORMAL GENERATOR NERF IT DEVS!!!

Alot of ppl with industrialcraft tend to use computercraft too still i see your point through but it would be nice to have tutorials like this for mods like buildcraft, computercraft, industrialcraft etc in a single place (which doesnt have to be ic2 forums).

because it would be a see through and blastproof window for a Nuclear Reactor facility, and it since it would requires reinforced glass and uranium and uranium is denser then lead.
Density other than making it harder to accelerate has no effect on halting a explosion. It doesnt gets stronger because it has a higher density.

Talonius a reactor filled with ice lasts longer than a reactor with no ice. 19200 heat absorbed per stack has a pretty big influence on that. Thats why i asked to ad that. Sometimes you want to know how long your reactor with ice in it but no supply will survive.

Ignoring practicality, that's a pretty awesome setup.
If you want to work on reducing your cooling costs (energy-wise), I see you are using some overclockers. I believe the consensus is that while very useful, from a pure efficiency point of view, they are suck. You're been better off with a lot of compressors instead of overclocked ones.
Not exactly there is a optimal amount of compressors and overclockers. Has to do with cost/eu output :).

I myself love puzzling with reactor components trying to make nice designs. However since there only a few components there arent that many (good) reactors designs to make. In my list we have already found most if not all of them. Some new components would ad a new layer of depth to designing reactors. Could be improved components or components that are unique in their role.
So share your ideas about this :).
My ideas:
Heat converter:
1 cooling cell
1 generator
1 adv circuitCools at 1 heat per sec and in addition it generates 5 eu for every 1 heat cooled (this isnt op max eu output improvement is only 25% if everything is cooled by heat converters). This is more efficient at bigger reactors (because there is relative less base cooling).
Overcharge module:
1 gold block
4 adv circuitIncreases output by 100% and heat generated by 200%. Uranium is depleted only 75% faster (so this raises efficiency a bit too). For each chamber you need 1 more for this to function (so 1 chamber you need 2 and 6 chambers you need 7). New 'upgrade' slots need to be added to the reactor where you can put this in.

Make it so that a stack of ice just absorbs 19200 heat so you will atleast know how long the reactor will last with some ice in it and for average eu/tick you can ignore ice (since after endless cycles the effect of that ice is endlessly smal).

Solars windgens and watergens are supposed to be set and forget removing that will ruin the reason you make them. The problems lies in the fact that the other energy sources dont provide a good alternative. Only CASUC reactors are a good alternative to solars when running a mass fab. But there aint no way you can get enough energy with charcoal or lava cells.

you said no CASUC(Continuously Applied Single Use Coolants)
this is just SUC all of the ice you are going to use for the duration of the cycle is in the reactor already
I had another quick and dirty design with no SUC but you would need to build and cycle over 180 of them to fill the cooldown requirement.Fact: Its a CASUC....How else can the reactor planner say its a mk1 that can run endless cycles. I smell another bug in the planner.

I dont get why it should be blastproof. Through it would be nice if it gave of a weak light (but still preventing mobs to spawn) and ofc greenish look.
