Its pretty bad that even when you use copper cables to go from the top of the world to the bottom windgens still make more eu/tick than solars make. Should be enough proof that solars are underpowered.

A 32 EU packet isn't going to make the trip from the build limit to sea level on anything BUT glass fiber. You really want to step it up.
I agree that glass fiber is kind of prohibitively expensive to use with a wind farm - 16 diamonds for wind power seems like an absurd expense. Might as well just build the transformers instead, or use a different form of energy.FnordMan's suggestion is the optimal one - and it's the way I've got mine wired as well.
Actualy iam pretty sure they would go from 128 to 0 with 80% loss on low voltage using cobber cables. Funny thing is through even then in this extreme situation windgens make 0.4 eu/tick average which is almost equaly to solars. If you count in the cost of solars then windgens are always better.
In normal situations distance will be far less through and using higher voltage will boost your eu output alot with only small costs.
I still remember headhunter claiming he measured 500 eu/tick from 16 windgens and that it was accurate....

wind gen makes so much more energy than solars it will more than compensate the the energy loss. Even with a copper cable. Want less loss? Just place some batboxes then and voila less loss + more storage.
My suggestion:
Double solar output in deserts and keep price as it is. Why? Because its realistic and solars need a buff.
Btw that tidal gen is op :). Lets say you got a nice ocean with 100x100x20 water blocks. Thats 200000 water blocks meaning it will produce 200 eu/tick...I think something like 30-40 eu/tick would be better. It needs to be quite expensive also.
Even before this nerf solars sucked compared to windgens. Also nuclear power was already more resource efficient than solars (through the buff they got was well deserved).

Thats why i always put a detector block that detects if buckets are coming out of the reactor. That way iam near 100% sure the cooling system is working. Also i got multiple redstone lines running to the reactor to prevent losing 1 of them and jamming the whole system.
He measured it for 4 ticks. Thats 0.2 seconds...Else you wont get 500 eu/tick with eu reader from 16 windgens.

Thus average eu/tick was 500 but thats very inacurate this way. In order to get a accurate result you would have to wait a really long time like MJevans already pointed out.
Well they are not unstable because the max cooling such cooling system can make is so high it can run even full uranium reactors(ok now after the update its possible but still 1250/s cooling is a ton). But their output and eff is really bad.
Iam pretty sure 50 recyclers running at all the same time will still generate alot of usefull stuff :). Ofc with sorting system.

Generators always sends it in 1 package. So 140 eu/tick is 1 package of 140 eu each tick.
It already been done before and eff and output was very bad compared to 2 dedicated reactors.

When you measure it in EV it wont matter how much eu the windgen farm is making. Its even possible to measure 2k eu/tick while the windgen farm produces only 1 eu/tick. In fact its even possible with a single watergen...This is not just a bit inacurate but its extremely inacurate. Saying you get 500 eu/tick from 16 windgens can confuse newbies who believe it and it doesnt proof anything changed with windgens. So it does matter alot if you measure it in EV instead of LV.
And yes iam aware windgen mechanics changed in the last versions but this 'test' he did doesnt proof anything and it only confuses ppl if he puts wrong data like that on the forum.
