Lookin' forward to BuildCraft 3.x!
Ditto. Once BC 3.x is stable enough to be tossed into the SMP ring, a lot of people are going to go nuts on the whole Lasers things.

Hoo boy, found the MCF post about it:
QuoteMinecraft Forge is NOT required to be installed for this mod to function (installing it separately will actually interfere with the proper functioning of this mod). However, the current release of BTB contains several Forge files.
Redundant much?
For those who have not seen it yet:

Apparently, this is an integration of BTW and BC; keep in mind that the BC that we all know and love will still be developed under Forge, so no crying there.
My opinion: It blows. Simple as that. Biggest hit for me? Redstone engines require BTW mechanical power to work. Three letters: WTF?
Alright, have at it.

Android version already available, they're currently working on an iOS version.
Wow, great timing on my bit. Just got an Android as an early b-day gift. This works perfectly.
Ahaha, okay. There is a community-run Soartex texture pack for IC2, but it's not done yet.
Edit: Looks like you already have the link, like I said, the pack is far from done yet unfortunately.
I have no worries with Tin or Copper due to RP2 and Forestry.
But, I have noticed that there seems to be a real lack of Redstone as of late. And I haven't found a single diamond yet. Hmmmm...
Display MoreAgain, if the recipe is impractical now one is going to build these when they can just make more normal panels for a cheaper recipe. The recipe for these panels should mostly be the panel itself, the point should really be to consolidate the equipment.
The normal solar panels do 1 EU/t (13,050 EU/day)
Advanced solar panels/upgraded what ever should be something like this
Upgraded Solar Panel 5 EU/t (65,250 EU/day)
Advanced Solar Panel 25 EU/t (326,250 EU/day)
High Efficiency Solar Panel 50 EU/t (652,500 EU/day)A upgraded panel should be like 6 solar panels, a lv transformer, machine block and a electronic circut.
a advanced panel should be like 6 upgraded panels a MV transformer, machine block and another electronic circut
a HE solar panel should be like 6 advanced solar panels a HV transformer, advanced machine block and advanced circut.IC2 doesn't need new types of solar panels so we can replace nukes, it needs new types of solar panels so the guy with 5000 solar panels can turn those into 100 solar panels and not have to have a giant floating platform in the sky.
and solar panels should NEVER work at night
^ This is something I could live with. I'm half considering taking a stab at working on this now.
And plus, something like this would assist with Solar Panel spam on servers (tick updates and all, unless that was fixed...)
Wow... You think when your done with this you could put up a download for us to check out this awesomely evil base?
Just grabbed this and threw it into the mods folder and it works like a charm. Thanks for this.
Double check IC2's ID's, slot 250 is the Machine block.

Could be a big problem.., but stil i would love using it ;D.(Just won't install it atm. too lazy for installing it. <.<).
Ditto, I was way too lazy last night to install.
Oooooorrrrr.... We can just IGNORE everything that 1.0.0 added. Like stupid Enchanting, Stupid potions and stupid pretty much anything fluff.
That too.
Nice idea, I think the Dev's just need to register the Blaze Rod as a valid fuel source for the Generator and it'd be done.
Though, considering that you can only (legitimately) obtain the Rods from the Nether, and even then, finding a Nether stronghold is tough at times, I think the EU produced should be up'ed a little from (coal + (coal * 0.5))
Well, a ULV transformer should be around the same cost as a LVT, but with tin running through the middle line instead of copper.
And let's face it, if your just beginning, tin'd be a fairly precious resource alongside copper, so no one would have to worry about ULVT's until much later on where Tin is sustainable.

Looks like it's done. Forge-compatible and everything. Let's see how the Aether does now.
Edit: Looks like it doesn't require Forge, but they have it set up so that the Aether runs nicely alongside Forge.
Already known, the devs are working on adding an "IsEnchantable" hook to Forge that will prevent IC2 tools, weapons and armour from being enchanted.
Unless, this is already in Forge, then I recommend updating. Not sure if previously enchanted IC2 things will crash or bug the game, so back the save up, just in case.
Actually I began to listen to the Braid soundtrack after I was trolling back through Jeb's tweets. It fits.
Yeah, except the shape is that of a chainsaw. But yes.
EDIT: In fact, i kinda like this idea enough that i wanna have a stab at it... Gonna need to learn IC2 addon making but the implementation seems rather simple.
Though, it's Christmas eve tomorrow so that will have to happen on Christmas day or something.
Whoops. I was a little TOO tired when I wrote that. Go ahead, by all means. Christmas eve is tonight for me.
