I dont know why, but here is a simple statement.
The question is only why a fixed bug will not become a release in 3 weaks?
Maybe they loose the sources of any MC1.2.5 version. Any other answer will be a shame.

Fixed thanks to cpw finding a similar bug in the 1.3 version. Dunno how are we gonna handle that, b release?

To the OP under what conditions are the scaffolds not climable?
I've just used a fresh minecraft.jar with the latest forge and ic2 and i have no problems climbing scaffolds.

Doesn't shine too brightly on Alblaka by giving them permission while they are still using other peoples mods without permission.
These arguments really miss the mark as far as i am concerned. For me it's simply about morals. Forgetting about any 'legal' arguments, its simply about doing what is right from a human point of view. The creator of a mod doesn't want it in the pack then remove it, it's the nice, human thing to do. Anybody arguing against this point of view is part of everything that's wrong in this world.
Why doesn't your server just run both? they are both very good mods and compliment each other very well, as you say you don't really know what the builder and fillers do i suggest you play around with them, i think you'd be impressed.
Adding a bunch of rainbow ores with no use (except maybe make a shovel) is what 12 year olds do with their mods. She's obviously planning on adding more, but right now it looks like an infantile attempt to do everything that's going nowhere.
There is only one ore which has no use currently (tungsten), all the rest do. If you read up on Eloraams history before minecraft mods you'd discover that she has a seriously impressive history in relation to programming and just general creativity, so i wouldn't be so quick to judge the fruits of her future output.
