The new server should be coming in today. It will be very nice with 8 cores, double the RAM to now 8 running at 1600 MHgz the cpu is running over 3.3
it will be a huge advantage and the server we have been using will be a strong test server so we can test things much more and admins can now help with the testing reliving it all from levint to do. It is a huge change and if you have ever played on the server and did not like it i would say come back and see if you are still having those issuesWith the new server getting a full overhaul many users on the server are talking about a new map, but para the other admin said not new map but new mining world, new nether and EXPANDED main world, i also heard more slots what of any of this is true?

Nuke's don't drop many items, do they?
yes the do drop items on the ground and they drop a lot. From a player mod stand point i would probably say no though i think it's really up to lev and para. when i have used nukes they put a lot of strain on the server and that's why i would probably say no. UNLESS you allowed someone to do a stop lag after words (still up to lev and para though)

wal your not the only one who has had issues. People would come and flip stuff on the old map at are house all the time
Well first off, My quarries were off when i went to work.
Secondly my pipes were set fine as i ran the system fine for hours when i was online. I didn't touch them at all.If someone was there and fucked shit up. Your only hurting yourself as i try to convince Lev that 1 quarry per person is much too little. But by all means go to my place. Fuck shit up and when you ask Lev about having only 1 quarry shit like this will be the reason he says No, Hell maybe even no quarries.
Going to set myself a no entry flag when i get on too i guess
The new CPU is awesome is awesome though, Turning on 20 quarries makes the CPU move 1% up.

to sum it up use the distribution pipes so you save the server (if you want to just have it run to lava) not that hard. If you guys have a lot of lag because of stuff like this we will remove it and you will probably not get it back
we are not trying to be mean just we want to make sure everyone can enjoy the serverOkay, folks, for anyone who doesn't know already, and to help prevent lag on the server (which is already creeping back in due to leaky machines apparently), here's how you make an overflow system.
First, you need an advanced distribution pipe. You make it the same way you would make a stone pipe, but with redstone on top of it. What it does is try to force any item that comes through it into the attached inventory, but if it won't fit, and ONLY if it won't fit, it sends it out to another pipe. You have to connect it with stone pipes, cobblestone won't work. What good does this do? Try this setup.
Say you have your precious cobblestone generator, or quarry, or whatever. It's happily working away at filling your chest with cobblestone. But what if your chest fills up? It's going to spew cobblestone everywhere. And that causes lag. The more crap that piles up, the more lag is generated. It's mostly noticeable only to people who have the chunk loaded from the client's standpoint, so if you're standing next to a leaky cobblestone generator that's what's really going to lag you, but it does stress the server if the chunk is loaded at all. Thus, you need a way to make sure that the cobblestone is taken care of properly. That's what advanced distribution pipes do.
Quarry goes to chest, but instead of having a stone pipe going into the chest, you have an adv. distribution pipe, with another stone pipe leading out. That stone pipe leads to your recyclers, all 10 of them or whatever. Advanced distribution pipes on top of the recyclers try to fit the cobble into those, starting with the first one, then moving to the second if it won't fit, then the third, or whatever. At the end, an open pipe above a pool of lava. Anything that is trying to be recycled that won't fit into the recyclers will now be destroyed instead of piling up into a lagarific mess.
Modify the system to suit your needs, but please, please use the advanced distribution pipes, and please, please have a lava bin to catch overflow and destroy it. Don't assume that having 3 or 4 or 5 recyclers will handle anything you throw at it...I've personally managed to overload a system of 10. And having a thousand recyclers won't do you any good if you accidentally let your power banks drain completely and they stop working, or if a creeper takes out a power cable, or something else happens that causes your recyclers to stop functioning properly. Any system that's capable of generating items without you personally putting them in there should have an overflow prevention method attached.

Hey guys just slow it down there is a lot of stuff going on with the server.
They are getting new computer parts to make it run faster then before and be able to utilize other things to make the server that i assume you like because you are playing on it, better.
Also many of the mods are still in early development and most are still in beta versions.
Plus with modding api maybe coming out later January (that's what i saw on the wiki) there's a bumpy road ahead. Even though minecraft is out of beta the modding parts of minecraft is still very hard due to them wanting to keep minecrafts source codes a secretrunning a server is a lot of work and you need to realize that. lev (server owner) will get the server up and running to the peak perfection as soon as he can
*edit also the server admins are not inactive they just both have REAL jobs and i think both of them also have famieles or at least married. They work on the server and make it the best it can be for FREE they are not one of the server that charge money to get on.

New processor is due in on the 23rd got a little bit of a back order... Will make a huge change 3.8ghz 2M cache 800fsb dual core 64... Way faster then before since right now my processor is limiting my 800Mhz ram to 677 which is a waste with the low latency ram I run. I want to thank all that have donated to the cause including Walmart-employee, blueyes mason and fundevin big thanks.
Current processor clocks in around 2.8 even though it's a 3.2 then new one is guaranteed to clock in at 3.6 or higher, old on had a 512kb cache new one has 4x that... My old one is an x86 processor which prevented me from dedicating more then 2gb of ram while the new one being a 64 bit allows for 90% of my ram to be dedicated to the java server. The new processor has hyper thread which if you know anything about processors it is highly recommended for multiple users as a task can be dedicated to a core with multiple functions. Very excited.
sounds great cant wait to see how it runs!
