Thanks for the quick reply! I guess I should have realised when I saw that the official release page of IC2 doesn't mention this fix, but it didn't occur to me... Is Player's MLMP fix needed either? (from Minecraftforums again: http://www.minecraftforum.net/…dustrialcraft%C2%B2-v115/ )

On the Redpower downloads page, there is a vy.class that apparently fixes a crash in SMP: http://www.eloraam.com/?page_id=130
It is named 'vy.class', and is installed in the minecraft.jar itself.

On IndustrialCraft's minecraft-forums page, there is also a 'crashing hotfix' provided that is also named 'vy.class': http://www.minecraftforum.net/…dustrialcraft%C2%B2-v115/

My question is, are these two both doing the same thing? I'm no Java developer, but from a basic looking through the two using vimdiff, it seems that they might be doing the same thing. I don't know.
