I agree that the recycling system needs to be reworked.
I was thinking of a heat-kinetic powered recycler, where it simply melts/crushes down stuff into a liquid junk fluid and that can be pumped into a mass fabricator.
Add water to the mix for bonus liquid scrap. -
kU and hU are Kinetic Unit and Heat Unit, respectively. Those are native from IC².
While kU has no use other than making EU, yet, hU is used on the fermenter and blast furnace. -
Universal compatibility making RF, UE , MJ , EU , kU , hU, blutricity interchangeable freely (80% efficiency)?

When using superheated steam, you need a second kinetic steam turbine adjacent to the first. Then you plop a condenser adjacent to the second steam turbine to retrieve water.

The side thing is to allow greater flexibility, where you choose between one or several magnetizers to do the same job.
I've mentioned upgrades for range, aoe and speed in the main post. Considering IC2 system stacking them would indeed amplify its effects.I wanna try a superoverclocked magnetizer with a stack of speed overclockers now... (to the infinity and beyond!) that would be silly and fun.
Edit: added a horizontal magnetization option in the suggestion.

Because i've tested ThaumCraft's elemental arrows (which in theory bypasses armor) and it did 0 damage. -

What about keep the increased power consumption and make people with metallic boots go 5 times faster upwards.

The magnetizer main purpose is to serve as an elevator, thats good, however its unflexibility is a problem.
I propose a change:
Add upgrade slots (5 slots)
There will be 3 upgrade slots for overclockers, the first increases max poles that are magnetized, the second increases the area of effect and the third increases the strength of the magnetic field (upwards speed). All of these will increase power draw, of course.
Add supermagnetic upgrade which allows anything to be magnetized upwards, no need for metallic boots or whatever anymore. Increases power consumption by a factor of 5.
Allow magnetizer to magnetize connected iron fences on all 6 sides, instead of only up and down (thus you can have one magnetizer powering 4 different poles and allow magnetizer chains).Edit: Add button in the GUI to change magnetization axis, so you can have horizontal magnetizations, allowing superspeed pathways, good for mobgrinders for example.

Steelmaking intendly takes a long time. The problem here is that the steam turbine doesn't last lomg enough. Think of RC turbine, it lasts waaay longer than IC2.
Conclusion: boost IC2 steam turbine duration AND add more types like the wind turbine. Except wood, those would burn away.

invultri, you should move the qCraft portals at 0.0 to the spawn hut instead and tell newcomers to use them.
