The fusion reactor is designed to have an energy gain, unless your fuel production is inefficient.

Tier 4 Tech: Electrical Plasma Drill, which uses high amounts of power to induce plasma inside rocks, instantly fragmenting them.
Caution advised when using against metallic rock. [Instantly melt the ore into nuggets]Tier 2-4 Tech: Geothermal Miner, which uses different types of drills and pipes to drill deeper and deeper into the minecraftia's bedrock. Geothermal wells must be made on geologically active areas generated randomly on the world, otherwise they will have dramatically reduced generation.
Requires constant supply of water to produce steam, which will be used to generate energy.
Every block dug deeper costs more and more energy, but also increases the heat provided by the geothermal well. Tier 2 uses the diamond drill to dig up to 2000 blocks. Tier 3 uses the iridium one to dig up to 5500 blocks. Tier 4 uses the Electrical Plasma Drill to dig up to 12000 blocks.
Steam generation = (Depth^1.1) / 50 , EU cost per block dug = Depth^1.2 * Drill modifier [1 for diamond, 0.9 for iridium, 0.8 for electrical plasma] -

You can always give, sell or throw away those crystals, aswell have the objective to terraform the landscape to swipe away any traces of magic.
Although i'm fine if some people want to have "vanilla" world gen in the first 2k blocks.

Wanna bet i can get inside that box of warded stone and set up a nuke inside

I like that idea. It prevents people from going way too much into TC. Also, anyone wearing magical thingies or using magical thingies (aka holding a wand) is eligible to be burned at stake by a lighting rod, guilty of witchery (thaumaturgy).

10 year old kids came in mass into Minecraft, thats what happened.

Currently i am playing vanilla MC, on UHC servers. I bet i will want something else than exploring vanilla thingies.
You say GT and TC doesnt mix, but of course they can. Guess why we have the magic energy converter/absorber. I (and some people) want improvements on those, it is best to have TC around to tinker with.
If you don't want TC, just dont use it. I (and some people) want to have it around, regardless.Edit: What if Greg adds industrial alchemy as a GT-TC integration? Haha.
PS: I can read deleted posts :3

Either way, i prefer IC² and GT stuff over TC. All in all it is a matter of choice. I want that choice. If some dude wants to forget about GregTech hardmode and play TC style, let him. At least he is happy and everyone else also is.
By the way, i want TC because i want to see some more magitech thingies, including the fact that Greg really needs to update his GT-TC crossmod things to TC4. It will bring benefits to everyone, not only us. -
Yes, given they are in a proper height.

Americium (231 or 232, i dont remember properly) would kill you from heat first, instead of radiation.
Plutonium (239) generates even more heat.As Greg stated, it makes as much sense as quicksilver (mercury) stuff.

The reactor will continue depleting the cells if the redstone signal is kept, regardless of your energy storage.
You have to use redstone systems (or nuclear control addon, it is much better) to turn off your reactor once your energy storage is full. -
Aka Greg will blame you for not checking if the recipe already exists before adding it.
-
Someone said Americium? I have heard that it is a nuclear reactor waste byproduct which can be separated to be used as a RTG fuel...

Some people do, including me.
