Sorry if this is documented.
If I run a batpack empty by whatever means, it breaks like normal MC armor, never to be recovered. It is a pretty major annoyance to constantly monitor it while mining.
Another very minor bug is that if you run a drill empty then have a charged batpack you still can't use the drill.
