  • Need help with IC2 exp Build 632 coming from Build 397

    First of all, sorry if I make some mistakes writing, english is not my first language :(


    I came back to IC2 from a long break (last time I've played was in IC2, not IC2 Exp) and I made a server with some friends. Besides crushed ores, thermal centrifuge & ore washing plant and UUmatter being liquid, we had no problems adapting to IC2exp.


    But now I'm testing Build 632 for MC 1.7.10 and I'm having a lot of problems understanding new machines.


    Here's what I think I've understood until now:

    • A new energy unit exists: kU, it's generated by Kinetic Wind Generators and Kinetic Steam Generators.
    • Kinetic Wind Genrators need a Rotor and to be high in the world.
    • Kinetic Steam Generators need steam.
    • Steam can be generated by a Steam Generator, which uses an Electric Heat Generator. (Generating hU, what are the uses of this energy?)
    • Distilled water can be generated by a solar distiller or by condensing water from a Kinetic Steam Generator.


    But I have the following questions:



    • I'm trying to generate EU from kU putting a Kinetic Generator besides Kinetic WInd/Steam Generators (black hole touching black hole, god this sounds gross) but Kinetic Generators don't produce EU.
    • There are a lot of machines with unknown uses for me: Solid/Fluid Heat Generators, Semifluid/Stirling Generators...
    • What are the uses of Blast Furnace? How can I insert heat onto it?
    • Item buffers & Electric sorting machines are supposed to work with Buildcraft pipes or there are some other ways to move items without having BC installed?
    • What should I know about nuclear energy now? I understood there are some kind of infinite nuclear energy but without much EU output, but besides that I see a lot of new reactor things and don't know how to approach that (and I always loved nuclear energy :( my last works were a reactor and a breeder))
    • Is there anything else I should know about this version? Some kind of guide anywere? My biggest problem is the lack of guides/documentation (tried searching for Kinetic Wind Generator in Google and the only results were posts of this forum with doubts from other users :/ )
