I use industrialcraft-2_1.118.401-lf.jar with forge. So far all worked well, but I made a nano saber and it's as weak as stone sword. Of course I charged it, turned it on, it flashes as expected, consuming energy, but damage is very low, definitely not one-shotting hostile mobs.
