So. Looking around I was wanting to fool around with the tesla coils.

Except. I don't like the fact that they simply shock the shit out of everything that happens to walk on a block.

If possible is there a way that they could be setup to sense something within lets say 3-4 blocks of them?

And if so; or even if not so, have it so that they will not zap a player if you don't want them to?

What if I wanted to kill creepers or endermen trying to blow my shit up, but didn't want to murder my friend or operator if we were playing on a server?

They're brilliant ideas; they just seem like they could use an upgrade.

If the motion sensing idea isn't possible, then thats alright. I just though it would be a nice idea.

Having them actually work like they did in RA1 8)

    ALrighty!

So, after backing up my stuff, I deleted the 1.42 mod from the server, and setup the 1.43 mod.
Did the same thing with the client.

Now when I try to login to the server with my client, it tells me that I'm missing the 1.42 mod(which I admittedly am cause I upped it to 1.43) and refuses to let me on. Do I actually need both?

    Edit 2 ::

EDIT1 :: So I decided to try playing again after having stopped the server. And now it won't even let me load my world...

Hi again! So I've been running a server with IC2 and all required mods, working great for the past few day, then today I had an apparent severe issue. I was screwing with my miner at the time and suddenly the server gets angry and gives me the following.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

It says this is a FIXED bug. Does that mean its fixed in the next update?

Safety is one thing, but eff is quite another. This is my design http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…=1o10101001501521s1r11r10 (only 10 less eu/t) and I forget who's it is but here's the other http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…=1o10101001501521s1r11r10 .

However if you have RP2 or feel like 'the redstone one' you can build a far higher efficiency reactor for way less resources http://forum.industrial-craft.…page=Thread&threadID=3189 Two or three single cores in their own water enclosures hooked up to a 1 second out of 16 pulse will give you a /lot/ more power over a much longer time for your uranium.

I'm running server and literally JUST got everything running. So I would rather not do any more mods. Thankyou though?

I think you didn't design that... it's Rick's "budget upgrade" reactor from his sig. Identical in every regard.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great reactor design... but it's not yours. Was done long ago.

You've got to be fuking kidding me... You mean there's not an infinite amount of possibilities? Shenanigans!

On a side note, who's rick?

EDIT ::: I don't have anything installed on my client. If that is the issue I apologise profusely. But I'd rather not fuck EVERYTHING up by installing that when there's already an error running if thats not the error.

Sorry the title is so long....

    Alrighty.

So I have my server working essentially.
The server itself is fine, starts up okay all that jazz.

    Server version :: Newest on minecraft.net (1.0.1 I think I'm not sure how to check :S )
So I've installed IC2 and all of that stuff. Essentially done everything it has told me to do.

And I get this error whenever I try to connect to the server.

Internal exception: java.io.IOException: Bad packet id 230

    Any help whatsoever is appreciated.

I did run a search, and looked through the first few pages on the support subforum before posting this. Found nothing. :(

    Thanks in advance

    Greetings!

So, I saw that IC2 was updated (Thankyou!) And began setting up my server.
    (My Info)
    -WinVista x64
    -Newest MC client
    -Newest MC server

I installed modloader, and minecraftforge from the links provided on the download page, rechecked that I had ALL the files from the jar files.
    Deleted my Meta-Inf

Essentially, did everything I'm supposed to do.

So whenever I run the command

    Code
    java -Xmx1024m -Xms10247m -jar c:\users\pantalaimon\mcserver\minecraft_server.jar

I get the message "Invalid or corrupt jarfile

I have checked the forum, and only one person had a corrupt jarfile, he was running Linux, and not a server. So not that issue.

Any assistance would be ridiculously appreciated.
