I reinstalled the respective MCForge and the Modloader files to both the server and the client, and that appears to have fixed it. Thanks!

As per the title, I've recently installed IC2 and Buildcraft 2.2.9 on both my client and a small server I host for myself and my friends. The client installation went well, but the server refuses to allow me to play. The server itself does not crash; my minecraft client goes "blank" (only the dirt background is visible) and then crashes, with the server log stating that I disconnected due to "genericreason". I'd post an error log, but the server doesn't appear to be having any actual errors.
Any idea what could be causing this, or what I could do to fix it? I installed Modloader MP 1.0.1 and Minecraft forge 1.0.0, as per the instructions listed with the download. I've confirmed that the client is installed correctly, and that I installed the proper mods to the server. What could be causing this error?
