You do know that you can reinforce the scaffolds by using a stick/iron fence? (Im guessing yes but just in case).
Theres is also the Iron Scaffolds that have better range than wooden ones (I forgot if you can use the sprayer with those).
If both methods fails then just deal with it and make extra pillars of wooden scaffolds in the center to make your rooftop (Annoying? Yes but so its making another type of scaffold).
The sand in scaffold idea have some merits, probably would be best to make the recipe simpler (1 Scaffold + 1 Sand, but you lose the scaffold when you use the sprayer and/or spreading gets limited when it fills one of these).
Another (Extra) idea that could have some merits its a type of scaffolds that doesn't allow the spreading of CF from the sprayer as to avoid the CF to travel those extra pillars that where made only for making the roof. For example:
The rubber trampoline its the scaffold that can't be "sprayered", if you use the sprayer on one of the three logs on the left, it will not spray the CF to the scaffolds in the middle and the right. (But those three on the left will become CF blocks)

Yeah but that would beat the purpose of being a "Closed Source" project. You just gotta deal with it or pile up your coding and test when you absolutely must do it, not after every little change.

Doing "Anything" actually causes lag, depending on your machine you will feel the lag or not. Also pilling too much "Anything" will increase the amount of lag felt.

I keep people saying "Need moar beta testers" but do they really? Maybe its more a problem of "Quality" rather than "Quantity"?

Range is fixed to 15 blocks from the source by the current lightning engine. And no the dev team will not rewrite the engine.

to Adam; They release because their testing team thought it was ready, Personally I think they should have a bigger testing team, at lease one of which plays a server, or post the beta version to everyone wil a limit to the number of people (more than the number of testers they have now) who can post to a secure and organized bug area, which can be viewed by all, but that's my opinion.
More != Better like never. Al already said no to public beta releases because its more annoying that helpful (My word not his), and its pretty obvious the beta team use it on both SSP and SMP environments, not doing that its like the worst beta testing ever.

Or you know, it could have been a stupid char because im not doing any calculations with it (And im clearly using other character besides numbers so... yeah the bug is on you greg). Also considering the intelligence of most people, i doubt they even know either of the config file or how to use it.

Definitively the second option, you know how filters can't really filter 100% of the stuff some of the times. Either that or im just pulling everyone legs with the filter thing just to mess with their minds, who knows if im even telling the truth... *Tururu tururu*...

I don't think they are meant to fill buckets
This, Pumps usually rocket launch the cells they fill so having a bucket in there would make a mess... (Also the less funny explanation is that buckets don't stack like cells so you might as well fill the bucket manually)

With very blast resistance it mean your regular type of explosions from creepers and TNT. And if you don't encase your reactors (If they are somewhere nearby your home or any important construction)in at least 5 layers of Reinforced stone then you are a moron and should feel bad about...

Also its a stupid game, don't try to read too much into it. The heat is there to make making a nuclear reactor changeling while giving incredible amounts of EU if you do it right and on top of that you want to make them give EVEN more EU? No just no.

Construction Foam was the response to "Hiding" wire and the such since its the only "Decorative" block it have.
If you don't use it, its your loss, i don't see why the devs should bother re-adding some way to hide wires. And CF its in no way "Expensive" if you use it properly with scaffolds and the sprayer.
Edit: Also wires that occupy no space are impossible with vainilla blocks and blocks from any other mod.

Ic2 Devs and Diehard fans just plain ignore and refuse to acknowledge the existence of any kind of magic element in vainilla minecraft, so this suggestion might as well not exist in their eyes.
