Lots of improvements have been made to help with client side lag, and Zardoz has put in lots of work to know what causes it. We are currently offering a voluntary move to less laggy sides of the map so that long standing players with lots of client side lag inducing objects won't have their stuff messed with.
Also, we will be making significant changes this weekend to help reduce server-side lag even further. Right now we are on a HVM guest, but will be switching to PV guest which will have better CPU utilization.
And the big improvement: We will be moving from a multiple-world-on-one-server model to one world, multiple servers using the Transporter bukkit plugin. This will allow us to further segregate our CPU/RAM/Bandwidth utilization and fix all kinds of bugs present with multiworld.
Server has been updated to MC 1.2.5
we are changing worlds today. Expect a new environment today!
We'll be changing worlds tomorrow at 4PM CST
Recently upgraded to 1.2.3. We have a gate change at 4PM CST today.
Server was a great idea but admin communication is not that and they are very childish on how they handle issues.
The Admins do not communicate and are very unresponsive to issues. Admins mock players that post griefing issues with videos from Disney movies.
Server is very unstable as well and crashes daily if not more.
Would suggest finding another server if you’re looking for a well-managed server.
OutlandCraft prides itself on making sure all players that act in a mature manner are left to work out difficulties on their own. The issue you have written about was a player who did something to annoy others and was repeatedly asked to stop. When that player had action taken against him his first response was to seek out retribution from an admin rather than seek how his actions played a role in what happened to him. In my eyes, this show a level of immaturity that others will not feel comfortable with.

Recently upgraded to 4GB/8GB burst RAM and VDS instead of VPS for server.
We will be changing the gate destination today at 4PM CST
Turns out our server is getting more popular that we anticipated by now. We've had to deal with a few serious griefing problems over the past week and decided to move to a graylist / pay-2-play model. New players are welcome to join and look around / talk with others and get a tour... however you won't be able to interact with any objects or travel through the gate until donating.
Updated to 1.71 IC2
Defined roles and added to server info page.
IC2 1.70 and ComputerCraft 1.21 installed today. Please update your clients.
we will be upgrading to IC2 1.70 tomorrow.
Upgraded to MC 1.1 and IC2 1.64.

Today's Gate change had a little hickup as
our engineers were trying to hone-in on the remote planet. Great
anticipation was building around the gate as Con Am's forward team of
miners waited to head on, not knowing what lies on the other side.
I'M Through! cried one miner as he tried
the gate without getting acknowledgement from management. The rest of
the team spilled forth to see what new riches lie before them.
This is it? an Ocean world? said the
befuddled miners. Better set up base anyway... It's getting dark and
who knows what kind of nasties can get us out here.
Teamwork is the key early on! If we don't protect the gate, we have all kinds of issues when night falls, and we're way behind.
One miner headed north in a boat, another gambled that land lie to the south and started his railway.
How do I remove an machine from the game, such as the Mass Fabricator? If not possible to disable, then what about changing the recipe? Thanks.
