A sugestion, you could use Buildcraft`s Blueprint to make it available to build some of this schematics in-game without using MCEdit.
Another way to build the other kinds of buildings that are not ships, make a feeling of advanced space technologies during the game.
This look a more legit way of building what come after the ships.
Just a suggestion.

Do you know how many tries you did to get stickreed ?
I did that too, but it took a while to get Stickreed.
Now I`m only breeding Stickreed, my best seeds are 11/11/10 and 13/10/7.

I can't see how anyone could think that's unbalanced or overpowered. People who have claimed that solar power is OP have typically relied on one of two possible justifications:1) Solars are too cheap to construct: Well, this doesn't make them any less expensive! You want 8 EU of power, you need 8 soalrs either way. You want to make it more compact? You marry them to a transformer.
2) Solars cause too much lag: If you're in this camp, this fix should be a welcome change for you! After all, it's 1/8 the amount of eNet calculations!
So, what's your problem with it, really? that they don't take up enough space now? Are you even listening tohow absurd that sounds?
So true, if you dont`t like the Solar Arrays just don`t use them.
But if you are playing in SMP and everybody has at least 100 solar panels, with 30 players you have 3000 solar panels.
Using Solar Arrays you cut the lag they cause very well. One guy using 512 solar panel can just place 1 solar array, 511 less solar panels helping the server`s lag.
1/ 512 = 0.19% from the original number. SMP servers congratulate Advanced Machines.

I updated my design to a higher output and made the encasement a real cube. What do you think ?

How to use: Turn on the cooling system and wait a short while to start the reactor, after that it can run until the Uranium depleted without exploding.

Update(08/01/2011): I improved the design to V3.
1.Made the encasement a perfect cube(7x7x7).
2.Rearrange the reactor`s design.
3.Increased the number of Icemen to 3(+1).
4.Increased the number of Chambers to 3(+2).
5.Increased the number of Uranium Cells to 30(50% more).

V1 - Output 820EU/t [7x7x6][20 Uranium Cells]
V2 - Output 1050EU/t [7x7x6][25 Uranium Cells]
V3 - Output 1280EU/t [7x7x7][30 Uranium Cells]V1 - Using Xyberviri`s ideia, Iceman CASUC. I made a small CASUC, almost a cube(7x7x6). The CASUC ICEMAN CELL.
The reactor uses 20 Uranium Cells, Reactor + 1 Chamber and 2 Icemen for cooling. In my opinion its a small size comparing to the 820EU/t.
The compressors just need some energy to start, after that the reactor provide the energy.
This CASUC CELLS can be used on demand, in theory it can run without stopping. I tested the design and I had no problems.
The output can be changed, its a prototype.SAVE: ICEMAN CASUC CELL
