I said it could just increase the speed to refuel Ura. I think too it's better when using Nuclear Reactor. And in order not to be OP with CASUC/UU-matter, we could put this increasing to a very little value.
Or simply use Glow/Redstone Dust Cells as Fuel for Nuclear Reactor (But with a very, very little value of max Energy: 20 000 for Glowstone Dust and 5000 for redstone, for example) -
A bit less useful that Tesla Coil, because what would be good with an Amazing Turret Destroying your wall to hit mobs/player hidden ?
It use special frequence (for example, gamma ray) in order to pass blocks ?

What I suggest it that Glowstone/Redstone could maybe be used as a way to refuel Depleted Ura, maybe without using Nuclear Reactor, or maybe it could just increase the speed it works (Using Glowdust/Redstone dust in cells next to depleted ura cells, for example)
Why that ? Did no one find that it was strange for dust to glow ? In fact, if they glow, it's for the same reasons that someone suggested glowing ura.
Radioactive Isotope glow because of radioactive decay producing energy, and turned into light (for a few part)
Also Redstone/Glowstone are Radioactive isotope no ?
Glowstone would do it better than redstone, and it could be only a *3 increasing of the Depleted ura refueling. -
If we reduce the power of the Windmill, it would be more and more useless compared to Solar Pannel.
Thinking too that when using RP, you can refill Watermill with machine/pipes without using your hands, and it produce 4EU/t for 1 gen and 6 wooden plank ... (2 wooden plank= 4 stick, of course) -
Personally, I prefer scrap production with eggs.
As for the booze barrel, I think it would be a good idea as an alternative at least.

And using Booze Barrel is maybe strange, thinking your beer is created in the same block that this s***t (I speak about the first sense of this world), but it would be easier to Al (not coding an other block) and IC² do not (and won't) contain purpose for only one recipe. -
IRL, Fertilizers (I'm not speaking about chemical one, wich do not exist in IC²) are created from vegetal products degraded by insect/bacteria.
So, why not use Booze Barrel (I know it has been created in order to make Beer/Alchohol, but it's a way for fermentation, isn't it ?) to create Fertilizer from Plantball ? -

I know, IC² works with cells instead of using pipes.
In fact, to create Energy by Biofuel without wasting tin, we could have a sorts of machine wich would turn plantball into biofuel, slowly and with a little cost of EU (or without EU, but very, very slowly) and would be able to produce energy from this biofuel when placed near a Generator (as a compressor using water from pump without pipes/cells)
And in this case, we should too have same things for coalfuel:
Fuel would be made from Tar, wich can be finded lower than Coal and would be a bit rarer.
This Tar could be: Used in a reffinery, working with EU (I already post a thread containing a reffinery, but it was too speaking about Tier IV, so it was rejected, denied and put in the Archives) or used with sand/gravel to create Bitumen, allowing you to walk speeder on (something like Speed*1.25) -
Or that would be cool if fuel can be created as a liquid (as in BC)--> Produce EU from biofuel wouldn't cost Tin.

I am playing 1.95b and yes I know that you do not loose the cans.
The reason for the change is simple: there is currently no reason to use canned food as bread is easier to produce and gives you back more hearts. The high cost to produce the tin cans initially is another point against them. Usually you are in need of food only very early at the game and at this time you are not swimming in resources. Now wasting the few tin bars you have at that time would be stupid, and later when you have the tin to spare, you no longer need any food machines are you probably have one or more wheat fields available.
Tin can are not made to feed you, but to health you, you know ?
So use it as an Adventurer, not as a Miner, i.e. when fighting against mobs. You won't have this type of problem. If you prefer not wasting tin and using it only not to die of hunger, don't use it. -
