Did some experiments. 17x17 Fillerfarm (Forestry Logger cutting+Buildcraft Filler planting trees) produce 1.4 wood per second. Converted to scaffolds, it's 700 EU/t (no typo).
With full 21x21 farm (logger work radius) this will be 1000 eu/t. And it's just from wood, saplings can give some more (20% more I think), but not sure they worth the hassle and gold for electric generators. It's probably better to use saplings energy for BC/Forestry needs,

Costs are: 4 diamonds for logger and one diamond tube, some gold for tubes, 800 of iron for 100 generators.

Alternatively, two thirds of wood can be converted to slabs, and "burned" in recyclers. Then Fillerfarm will be able to produce one UU per 25 seconds all by its own.

You're going to need a crapload of generators to keep up with that demand of energy from something that outputs 10 eu/t, not to mention a system capable of evenly distributing those over all generators. At that point, you're pretty much better off going with wind or nuclear, although if the amount of space taken up/massive amounts of iron required is ignored, this would probably work pretty effectively for starting out mass fabrication

I would like to apply for the position of Bugsreport Moderator. I think I would be good at this job mainly because I am capable of explaining IC2 to people that need help understanding certain mechanics (as mike2033 can attest to), I know IC2 extremely well (except where luminators are concerned), and I have a lot of free time on my hands. Despite my Nigerian flag, English is my first language and I actually live in America (what a twist!). Personally I feel that once a bug has been reported 5+ times, It has become excessively reported, however with the new measures in place in the Bugs section, I don't think too many people will be doing that like with the 18 threads containing some mention of the e-net ghost bug.

Rawcode: I dont see comments like "IT'S NOT OPEN SOURCE GTFO BITCH DONT MAKE MODS" on http://www.minecraftforum.net, OMG WHY THEY EDIT MINECRAFT??? THEY NOT ALLOWED, IT'S NOT OPENSOURCE!!!

This didn't really happen, he seemed against your bug fix posting, but that was only because it was done without permission on a closed source project, and I wouldn't consider it at the "DON'T MAKE MODS" all caps level you claim it was done at.

you just like ic2 devs in general - ignoring whatever posted on forum, taking only your own opinion in account there is nothing to duscuss with you.

yes, they are good devs, they take time out of their days to make sure IC2 happens. And isn't taking your own opinion into account pretty much the point of this thread?

To me, closed source is closed source. By that I mean that I don't think it is a good idea to release the code into the wild for just anyone to mess around with, the people like you and Greg that have the intelligence to decompile the code and fix things inside of it are great, but if the source was just handed out to random people with little coding experience, how many quality addons or improvements would honestly result from this?

Just had to reply here to clarify, people were bitching back and forth for at least 3 pages recently on the Redpower MC forum thread about the same stuff as here. Then the mods went through, locked the thread, deleted several pages of both sides arguing, and then reopened it. I suspect this happens frequently, and I suspect part of the reason people are getting so frustrated is because no one can even discuss it civilly.

Well aside from a few people, this seems to be a pretty civil debate going on here

Make all recently registered users be obligated to read a small alert of
"Things not to do\rules" (which includes "do not report bugs that have
already been mentioned before") every new thread they make.

I like it, I predict this would keep down 80% of release date and already reported bug (by my count there have been 18 threads with some e-net ghost related thing in them), but there would always be the 20% of people that can't read and still post a Y U NO RELAESE thread like the famous one

obvious troll is obvious, eloraam has actually updated us and the reasonits taking so long is because she was to completely rewrite the mod for1.3.
also joining the development team of Ic2 is/was super hard if you'd actually go through the responses you'd know that, now go **** yourself and don't respond unless you actually know something about the matter and read all the other responses.

Where in the responses did anyone say anything about how becoming an IC2 dev is hard EDIT: (Where in his response did he say anything about it not being hard)? Yes, Eloraam has stated on Twitter that there is progress on Redpower for 1.3, but is the

    I saw neosatan's post in Greg's addon's thread

Is there a wiki, or something for this addon?

and I thought well why not? I say we should add a separate section to the wiki for addons exclusively. Just look at Greg's addon, there's a lot of stuff there that is basically explained, but is scattered all over the thread. Take a look at CrazyCrafter/Kentington's Rocket Science, things are explained, but I think it would look better in wiki format. Check out F4113nb34st's Advanced Generators, the many additional functions of the generators could be explained in an easy to read data table on what it does, similar to what we have for core IC2 generators. Once an addon is created, the author could just create a page for it and they or the community could type out the information on it in the easy to read wiki format we all know and love.

GregoriusT has a nice step by step thing on this subject in his profile

na the Dev Team is Just To Lazy To Do Anything I Mean ONE LINE OF CODE Could Fix The E-net Bug Act... Anyway i think That You Are Right and I also Want To Thank RawCode for not being a lazy a** Hole And Fixings The Bugs (even If RAM Leeks) Atlest he Tryed And For The Dev Team? TOO FKING Lines Of Code Can Fix All This Mess Even If one Needed Is Not There You Cant Say You Cant Put too Lines Of Code To Fix It. The Dev Team are Just Trolls who Want To Make A Mod Without The Hard Work Needed And They Would More Likey Right Now As I Chat Be Playing Minecraft And Useing A Fix That They Dont Want To Give Out Me And My Sever Players Would Like a Fix For Wireless Wires And Over Powered Bugs That Make it That Much More Fun For Grefers all Over The Place.if this :Glass Fibre: could be fixed with 1 min of your time would you?

Don't You Hate When People Type Like This?
You pointed out that RAM can leak with Rawcode's simple fixes, you don't seem to be a programmer, how the hell can you possibly know how many lines of code are needed to fix that major glitch without even minor performance issues?

It's statements like this that make me wish this thread was bannable, 9/11 was an inside job wasn't it? There is no conspiracy, the devs are not sitting on their asses playing a version with the bugs fixed and just thinking "lol, I love watching the community rant while we keep this to ourselves"

I also Want To Thank RawCode for not being a lazy a** Hole And Fixings The Bugs

I seriously think this thread should be bannable, you basically insulted the entire developer team with that one statement, do you have anywhere near the skill level required to code something like IC2? If you answered no to that question (if you answered yes, you lied) then maybe you should think about how without them IC2 wouldn't even exist in the first place

If you want to help, then try and be patience. Unless you have great coding experience (like Greg or RawCode), you may want to step away from trying to fix IC2 yourself. The team is there, and the team is motivated to fix the problem. Just allow them the space to work and the bug fix versions will come soon...

That's pretty much my policy on this, I'm in no rush to update to 1.3.2 due to Redpower not being updated and Buildcraft being in beta (and if Greg is to be believed, world crashing). Personally I would rather see the devs take their time and put out a high quality product rather than a bunch of products that are essentially the same thing but with something fixed here or something slightly changed there.

Richard Stallman has the answer, but the world doesn't like what he has to say.

To me, this whole issue stems from people not having free access to the program they enjoy. If you don't like something fix it. If you can't fix it yourself pay someone else to fix it. Finding pitfalls in a developer's process is only a problem because the law says you have to rely on them and can't go and fix issues yourself.

You mean kind of like what Rawcode already did?
