There is the better way to pump water.
Make infinity water pool, place pump directly above the water, connect cable and this working without miner and pumping water continuously.like this:

Just place the pomp above water, put into some empty cells, battery or sth else and chest next to it.

There is a bug, when you place for example MK1 and delete it, cable still connect to this empty space, if you send via this cable MV or HV - BUM

Did You try to pump water using miner and pumps? It don't working, miner doesn't looking for water, take only that directly below him.
