It was a brand new download, actually. I *think* I might've solved it though. I had "Terarria Trees" installed, and then I switched to timber. And so far fresh trees are living just fine. So I think you hit the nail on the head regardless. Thank you for your input, sir.

Just installed the latest version, first thing I notice while hunting for rubber trees is every other tree in the world is acting broken. Any and all leaves decay regardless of the presence of logs. Newly planted trees also experience this.

Update: Just double checked, it seems to affect all trees but regular ones. Birch, pine, and jungle all die off.
