As far as i know (correct me if i'm wrong), the recipes are supposed to be "secret" and for people to figure out. that's also the reason you can't (or couldn't) find them on the wiki. it's not supposed to be that easy to just get the matter you want.

Most technical mods aim for automation and convenience of some sort. I wouldn't call the addition of simple convenience "noob-mode" ...whether you have to constantly manually replace a batpack or not doesn't make you a "noob"..especially with the miner it would just be ridiculous to not use crystals (particularly when i don't feel like using low tier storage items in late game)..anyway that's personal opinion =P
I'dsupport the addition of an upgrade slot for these machines but i think a simple config option would be much easier to implement. ...Also since some people apparently enjoy babysitting their machines instead, we wouldn't want to take that away, would we?
@Greg No offense, but whether i deem it necessary to use or not is personal opinion. I don't really know how many stacks of cells it would take to drain a RE-Battery but as mentioned before, i just don't like having low tier storage items around during late game. And of course, i know there are a lot of different other ways to get it working, but none as convenient as just throwing a crystal in it.

As in title. This config exists for miners and it'd be nice to have it for pumps as well.
-
That lagging probably comes from the energy net, which is fixed in a newer release (i have 184 which works nicely) on the ic2 jenkins.
-
Title says it all.. i know those are part of rp2 but it should be possible anyway, right?
-
That would be too great. Additionally i'd like to have an option to release the CF a bit more controlled i.e. Shift right-click to just cover one cable or just place one block of CF.
-
I like this. There have been times when i wished for something like that.
..It could be made similarly to the splitter/detector cable in terms of energy loss. The crafting should also be somewhat similar to those "functional" cables... like 4 4xinsHV in a cross with redstone in the middle or something like that. -
That'd be a nice addition.
-
true.. maybe make it config/gui enabled?
-
i think you're going into a bit of too much detail here.. following that point of view i could also say that no one connects the dishwasher to the main power line..right?
-
mm well if it was only enabled for "consumers" like macerators, furnaces etc.. since those are usually found together anyway ...(well i'd also like to have this for solar panels but that's a whole other subject^^)
-
Oh boy..this is probably going to be a big no-go again for some reason but well..
anyway.. It'd be quite convenient if machines were capable of conducting electricity to other machines just like in rp2. (with some kind of fixed energy loss of course to prevent lossless energy transmission)

Well, the title says it all.
It'd be great if there was an option in the ui to let a personal safe accept items via pipes AND the miner. (like it does in single player)
I know there might be problems with user restrictions since anyone could pipe stuff in, which is why it should be an option to en/disable.
I myslef, would be okay with it if anyone was able to pipe items in, as long as no one but me could open the safe again.

Another possibility would be to make the parts of the q-suit and nano suit open up a gui when right-clicked in the hotbar and then choose upgrades to palce in. Upgrades like a power storage pack to power items, nightvision for the helmet etc. ...all upgrades using up a certain amount of power from the suit to balance them.
-
Since i found this by using the search function, i guess i'll revive this thread =P
An option would be the implementation of redstone behavior just like with power storage. This would satisfy both, the people who want the miner to emit a rs-signal and those who want to change its behavior with rs.
-
ah i didn't know that ..multiblock machines sound cool though
-
even though i guess i'm "late to the party" ..how about an external fueltank that has to be placed next to the normal generator but has the option of storing a lot more?
-
when i add this mod i get an id conflict with 29870 (seedbag) i guess this isn't intentional, right?

There you go: Here is a Video of the miner (and my house)
