  • Thought out tool upgrades.

    I'm new to the forums, so I'd like to say hi to everyone. I was thinking about making an addon that allows upgrading drills. It would add a new block for making upgrades and installing them. Upgrades wouldn't be called like "Efficiency Upgrade" etc. But they would be just additional parts that can be installed inside your drill. Making a part would require some resources (higher part tier would require more expensive resources) and a few levels. A newly created drill would probably have a few parts already installed (tier 1 motor and diamond/iron tip and a battery). You would make higher tier motors for mining speed, better tips for replacing the fortune enchantment and you could turn your battery into a battery pack and later add energy crystals to it. This could even replace the diamond drill. You would have to make an iron drill, the upgrading block and upgrade the tip in it. I'm still not sure what kinds of tips I'd add, but the highest tier would probably be made of Iridium and it would replace Fortune III, or maybe even Fortune IV. I'd have to check if Fortune IV is very op. Silk touch would probably be another type of a tip. I'm waiting for IC for 1.3.2, because I don't want to port my mod just after I finish writing it and afaik there was a lot of changes in forge for 1.3
