What version of IC2 and minecraft are you using?

That's a nice reactor design. I don't think, I came across a better normal one.
There are only two things, that come up in my mind, that can maybe improve the EU output. Placing 2 of the quads next to each other (therefore increasing output and and maybe compacting the design a little), which will probably not work regarding the increased amount of heating required, but it might be woth a try. The other thing would be using LZH condensers and making lapis from generated from the energy from the reactor (estebes managed to get an efficiency of 20 by doing this (I think)), but that'd require additional infrastructure. -
I'd need to change 2 classes in the Recipe API, which is still not an overhaul of the entire API.
-
In your original post, you were talking about an "API overhaul", the API wouldn't change that much.
-
That's an oversight from the 1.8 update.
-
It doesn't.

Why don't we add multiple output slots to vanilla furnaces then, since we lose 1 ingot, 6 nuggets and 2 stone dust when smelting ores?

The idea with hotspring water is that it isn't hot enough for energy to get extracted. The idea is it being used as waste energy. Adding steam would make it quite unnatural. It's also currently impossible, because right now, the machine only supports 1:1 conversion ratios.

I'm 80% certain, that I added a block, that does this, a while ago. I might be mistaken, though.
-
Beetroot and chorus is something to be added.
Saplings however would be a bit overboard, since crops are single-block only and hacing a tree within a single block would look a bit weird. -
Well the author of the mod told me that the only reason he didn't support was, that it didn't use capabilities
Just out of curiosity: what mod author was that?
While IC2 and its E-net don't use capabilities, they use a system, that is at least as dynamic as capabilities, that does not require adding functionality statically through an interface, like RF does. Supporting the IC2 way of energy tranfer is not more or less complex, than supporting capabilities. It's mainly just different. -
Looks really cool.
Does the energy matrix armor thing show up in your inventory? If so, how does that interact with baubles?
But yeah, your current images for the energy shields and the energy saber are broken. -
You're supposed to use a wrench on the block to get back the actual machine. It has been like that for 6 years now (Since IC was first released).

The explosion radius of a nuke is quite large (a bit more than 100 Blocks iirc) Of course it should be expensive to build one. Irl, you also can't just take a couple of rocks from the mountain, put some tnt around it and hope, that it explodes.
I agree, that some of the crafting recipes in IC2 are a bit too complex, which is why I made an Addon called Uncomplication, that allows you to use ingots in any recipe, instead of plates, but balance-wise I think, the recipes are the way they should be. -
There is a difference between talking bad about shit and constructive criticism or questions.
The former one is what you're doing. It doesn't help anyone nor can you achieve something with it. It just annoys people and is very respectless.
If you can rephrase your "issue" to use oe of the latter of the three things I mentioned, we can talk about this again. -
The lua API for Reactors for OpenComputers is not integrated into IC2. It's probably an addon or OC itself adding that, so you're probably better off asking there...
-
I don't think, I changed anything since then, but can you try using the latest version of IC2?
-
And you're saying, that the heat exchangers don't get any hot coolant, but if you put it in there yourself, everything works fine? That's weird.

The bucket disappearing is a bug. I'll fix it, if I don't forget. If I do forget, please post it on the bug tracker.
And yes, purifying most ores requires exactly one bucket of water. -
Could you post a screenshot of your setup?
