• First off I'm very new to the nuclear engineering side of IC, so I apologize if I'm missing some fundamental idea.

I've been playing around trying to make a Mark I-O reactor with 2.33 efficiency and came up with this design

The reactor only uses 4 chambers instead of six and uses as little cooling as possible to save on materials. The two coolant cells and heat dispenser in the top right corner might even be considered extra?

As far as I can tell this qualifies as a mark I reactor, but as I'm not all that experienced I don't know for sure. Heat is pretty stable in all of the components and none of them get very high at all. Of course I have no idea how well the program translates to the actual game. Let me know what you guys think.

  • Yeah, it's a Mark I-O C reactor. Not a bad design for an early reactor design you made. I would suggest to look at reactor cooling patterns to improve the HD to cooling efficiency though.

Edit: For anyone who might have trouble with his link...
