Support Request: Seeds not planting on Crops?

Hello. I keep making farms and 1/2 the time when I try to plant a seed, it wont plant. It might be a graphical bug but I don't think so. I don't see seeds disappearing from my inventory. SOMETIMES the seed will plant if I replace the crop or restart MineCraft but most of the time I still can't plant a seed. Do you have any suggestions?

no but I figured it out... turns out the light level wasn't high enough for me to plant them...
