Support Request: what to do when installing on mac.

  • hello, i have searched and only found one, closed and outdated, thread related to this, i have installed [using the latest MCpatcher] all of the needed modloaders [also up to date], and am having problems getting the client to work, i may need an actual .Zip file that works, i have converted the .jar client file, by unarchiving and re-packing the .jar as a .zip, and it didn't work, should i just rename the file as a .jar without packing it as such? a step-by-step instruction would be helpful, because i have tried everything i know to make it work, and feel i may have missed a step or something.

thanks for helping everyone in forums, i've seen how helpful you people can be, i hope someone knows what to do.

    thanks, Dennis.

  • Consider using the program MultiMC. It has a Mac client and is extremely useful for installing mods. It is what I use (on a Mac) and I have everything up and running aside from a slight bug with crops. Also, use Direwolf20's video of his mod installation to get the general idea behind where to put what.

    Forum thread for MultiMC:

  • thanks a lot, will look at both right now, ill tell you[forum collectively] if i have problems, but it working, with or without the crop problem, will be awsome
