Has anyone tried using pipes as means of global energy distribution? It seems to be potentially much more effective and flexible that anything that can done with wires.
If you are OK with having your full-crystal output lag until the MFE/MFSU is full, you can use vanilla BC2 pipes to trigger item moves to have battery-pushers. You could also do something with latches/flipflops and EU-detector cables.
