My electric blast furnace keeps swallowing steel dust I feed it, without giving me any products. I'm 99.999% sure that I haven't done anything wrong, the structure is correct, or at least the machine doesn't complain about it not being so, it is all in one chunk, I feed it with four energy hatches, in turn fed by 4 basic stem generators that all have enough steam, and they are placed right next to the energy hatches, so resitance from cables shouldn't be a problem. Yet when I put the dusts in the input bus and start the machine, they are consumed, but they never emerge in the output bus. I'm on 5.09.22, is this a know issue or something? Does anyone have any idea what to do here?

Wait, 6 of them? I only saw 2.Yeah, sitting close to a fireplace is not an allegory for sex, neither is ride a monkey

So it might be better to just play GT5 for now?

Ok, I've been away for a few months, and it seems everything has changed again.
First of all is this link still relevant: http://ftb.gamepedia.com/GregT…ocessing?cookieSetup=true
Also is there a guide? If not, is stuff documented anywhere?

So no ill effects from plugging 6 generators in it then? Nice

Just a quick question, what happens if you input 6A @ 32V into a 32V --> 128V transformer?

Just visited the End. Where the hell do I get tungsten? Please tell me I don't have to centrifuge endstone dust for it all
There's even overworld ore for it, details here:

Have you happend to come across any real machinery and tools that happend to use those? They are just too soft for that.
Oh, you mean like how people make uranium shovels?

The PermSize argument controls PermGen space. Heap space is controlled by the -Xmx argument.ferrelas: yes, -Xmx4G should be enough to prevent this.
That was what I thought too, both regarding the arguments and heap size
I've just recreated my base with creative on a new world, still some stuff I can't rember that's lost forever, luckily I didn't have a huge setup I lost though.

Unfortunately I didn't keep it, crashes aren't logged to disk, are they? As minecraft is usually quite resilient in crash situations, I thought that I could just load the world again and keep going, but this time there was some corruption, gregtech took the brunt of the hit, there was some corruption to other blocks.
Edit: Ugh, that sentence turned out really badly, no idea what's wrong with it though.
-
I went into the nether, and minecraft crashed, updated the java settings after that, Xmx4G and Xms4G should be enough right? Worst part is that all my greg stuff seems to have died
EDIT: Looks like every single greg ore block in my world has corrupted, do you think there's anything I can do?

Playing GT with infinite water is something like Playing football on motorcycle
Fucking awesome you mean?
I think that infinite water is pretty easy to justify, the ocean has a ton of water, it can usually be accessed from aquifer, but that's hard to model in minecraft though, so therefore infinite water is an ok trade off.
Since it seems finite water is a thing in gregtech, there should be a way to re-condensate 'used' steam to get the water back. MAybe I should put that in the suggestions thread, or has it been rejected?
-
This is kinda weird, both of those configs are set to infinite water, water is infinite if I scoop it up with a bucket, yet both ic and bc pumps vacuum all the water out of a 2x2 pool.
Thus I assumed greg had something to do with it.
-
Using Pumps when you have Finite Water turned on, no there is not a way. However, you can use GregTech Drain Covers placed on the tops of machines and pipes to slowly generate Water during rain. Using other measures, there's a couple of dusts (notably Sugar) that can be Electrolyzed to produce Water. (We had a guy back in 1.6 who built an entire sugar cane farm and electrolyzer factory to generate his water.)
I'm not sure if I have finite water on, haven't managed to find any config for that, except for the one in bc that is of. Managed to get a bc pump to pump water from the ocean now though, seems I just didn't power it enough.
-
Sort of. There is a meta-tool which removes up to 1000 liters of liquid from a machine. I just don't remember it's name.
Got problems with hazardous waste? Just pour it out, it's the gregtech way.
Speaking of liquids though, is there a way to use pumps to create a sustainable/renewable source of water?

i know what GT changes ore gen, but there is just too many ores in one place. And i didnt know what he overrided lapiz gen, i only know overriding ores gen, not gems.
Btw, there is redstone, coal, graphite, gold and lapiz vein together .... its a shiny cave!
Some generate together, use this reference: http://www.beyondrealitypack.c…itle=Main_Page#Ore_Spawns
EDIT: Or maybe that was a statement?
