and you get thorium dust now out of centrifuging re-enriched cells.

you can always use thorium as matterfab amplifier.

If you plan on adding the industrial coke oven, consider the fact that Coal is renewable through Wither Skeletons and UUM.
Maybe doing it the same way as Railcraft distinguishes UUM-Coal, add NBT tags for them and a tooltip? Maybe Coal - Wither and Coal - Synthetic (would use Railcraft version if available, of course.)
I'm not sure if this is really necessary. wither skeletons are very hard to farm without overpowered soulshards, and UUM is creative mode in vanilla IC2, so there isn't much point in balancing around it. -
the limit of 36H/s is per side. the uranium cells heat the exchangers themselves, allowing them to distribute all of their heat to the vents. each cell has 4 vents plus 8 cooling from component vents, for a total of 96. With cooling cells instead of uranium cells, you would get your calculated 80H/s.

an enderman farm is necessary for the fusion reactor anyway, and you get tons of potassium as a byproduct. you can also get tin from lava, which conveniently also gives copper for your quad cells.
-
I would agree with that. heat exchangers need to be buffed, and the capacity of coolant cells has to be substantially increased.
-
Is this mod still under development? it has some very good concepts, just needs some balancing and better documentation. the recipes are silly expensive and some of the reactor components would make reactor designs pretty dull and uniform.
-
The nuclear system is certainly a lot more interesting now. It just needs a little balancing and refinement. for example, overclocked heat vents are too powerful, and total reactor output is too low for their cost.
-
warded stone is, for all intents and purposes, bedrock.
-
also, you could do a standard DDoS design, but using reactor heat exchangers instead of coolant cells.
-
probably guides and things, maybe sub-mods if something like that would get created.
-
theoretically, you could make a HVC with eff. 7, because OC heat vents absorb heat.
-
Just a note, I did manage to get the "old" HVC design working properly, but the awesomeness of it must have caused my computer to have hard drive failure, so I lost it. I will rebuild it in the meantime, so I should be able to post my refined design in a few days.

don't even bother with explosion calculations. just delete huge chunks of land randomly.
-
I would also like to see it expanded to include cooling tower designs, with the new craze for CRCS reactors.

Very nice, well written. A couple of your links are messed up or link to the wrong thing though, you might want to check that.

Been playing around with the blink drive and I have a few suggestions. The first one is that the way it works now is not very useful. It throws an invisible enderpearl, which is pretty useless since with sprint assist, you can walk there faster than the projectile travels. It should probably work more like ee2s black hole band, where teleportation is instant. The energy cost could be based on distance as well. Furthermore, having it use the right mouse button is kinda clunky, since you need to disable and re-enable it and the plasma cannon. It would be easier to have a separate keybind.
Also, what do you think about the suggested change for the gregtech force-field emitter? It seems to be pretty popular.

Okay so I've been playing with Gregtech even farther now and I've gotten to Iridium level. I'd like to suggest some balance tweaks to my previous recipe suggestions (playtesting is always the best idea).
The only change is regarding the Force Field Emitter. Instead of requiring 4 Iridium plates per, replace those with Tungstensteel Ingots. (Original reason for the plates was structural stability and tungstensteel is tough stuff, but it wasn't available at the time)Two reasons for changing them:
Maybe the recipe is a little TOO hard.. I know they shouldn't be a cakewalk, but 128+ iridium ore per jetpack is a little.. much...
It gives tungstensteel more uses, which also inadvertently gives the Vacuum freezer more uses. It doesn't change the tier flying is in, since you need the infastructure to even build a vacuum freezer in the first place(2500K+ blast furnace, chrome city).Do you, and anyone reading this post using the Gregtech recipes, agree? I think it would be a nice tweak.
Trust me fellow hardmode players, I've not gone soft on you yet :p
I second this. The force field emitter should not be that expensive for what it does. and it still takes a bit of iridium for the superconductors and optionally the energy control circuit, so this actually makes it later in the tech tree, but less atrociously expensive. Also, I think the MV capacitor recipe is a bit off. It requires titanium, which is in the same tier as chrome, which is required for the HV capacitor. It goes directly from refined iron to titanium, which is a bit of a large skip. I would recommend that titanium be changed to steel, to make it more viable in the mid-game. -
The java app does not account for the reactor constantly going between cooled and heated. it assumes the reactor stays the same heat the whole cycle.

breeders become more efficient the higher the hull heat is. a mark V type design would be incredibly slow and inefficient.
