they allow you to go more time in between pulling the cells out, which makes the whole system run more smoothly. They also take less resources to create, as NaK and helium aren't that hard to get.

The spelling of this mod has been bugging me. do you mean gravitation suit (like a suit of armor) or suite (which could mean a set of tools) both could work, but you seem to use them interchangeably.

Nevermind. Delete this post please.

emerald is really not that hard to find. the trick is that it only spawns in extreme hills biomes. If you mine in one, you should get plenty.

I notice a lot of your features overlap with things in gregtech. are there any plans to add cross-mod compatibility?
-
any chance of a silk touch/ fortune upgrade?

any chance of some new machines?

Frankly, I think the quantum chest is completely useless. I can imagine no circumstance where I would want to spend that much to have a massive storage for anything. The interdimensional barrels from factorization are plenty for any purpose. I think they could be more useful if they were able to store items that are normally unstackable, as long as their damage value/metadata are the same. speaking of useless items, the rockcutter is pretty useless now as well. especially with the new enchanted books. It is much easier and cheaper to just use an enchanted diamond pickaxe, which also does not have the disadvantage of being as slow as a wooden pick. Considering how late in the tech tree it is now as opposed to when it was first implemented, I think it needs to have its speed boosted to at least that of the standard mining drill.

That seems to be about right. you should not be getting much of an energy profit out of making methane from carbon and hydrogen. I do however, think the eu cost for hydrogen cells is a little off. in real life, electrolyzing and then burning hydrogen is an actual method of producing power. it would be like a more expensive and efficient watermill.

Phish Hydrogen bombs are for sissy's what you want is a Fusion Bomb
and to the guy talking about waiting for FTB to update their gregtech, don't wait for them, just toss the zipped updated gregtech from the download into the mod folder in the mod pack file.
Actually, it is even easier. FTB has a built-in mod adder. just right click, go to edit modpack and press add mod and just select it the gregtech folder. if you are still using the old 1.4.2 beta pack, you may want to upgrade to one of the other packs.

It makes me wonder what is coming that we will need such high explosion resistance for. I mean, the iridium block was already enough to resist anything. by the way, the harder blocks should take a little longer to break. and +1 for reinforced doors. they are just so cool looking.

forestry has its own built-in nerfing. in the gamemodes configs. and frankly, methane is a little overpowered. rubberwood should not give as much, and it should take some energy to make it from carbon and hydrogen.
EDIT: it may be a good idea though, to have a config option to slow down the natural growth of plants, and maybe to disable bonemeal.

well when I decided on that, I didn't realize that ic2 is one of those mods that is content to stay in a pre-release for months, so I think I'll rescind that policy.
and I'll be making a 1.4.6 release as soon as I feel all the bugs are fixed, so bug-reports will greatly speed that alongawesome! and here I was thinking about giving up on these awesome mods because they would always be out of date.

I have a suggestion: to go along with the smaller stacksize of ores, why not have a "coarse grinder" machine that grinds ores into a coarse ore gravel that is for all intents and purposes like an ore block, but has a higher stacklimit? it would help in transportation and give a reason to actually have a mining base and not just a series of tunnels.
-
don't forget about disabling infinite water sources
-
that's because the antimatter bomb does not actually explode, it just deletes all the blocks in a radius down to bedrock.
-
of course, now a frame quarry beats all.
-
you could just make windmills drop machine parts when improperly broken. then you could not dupe generators. if you wanted, you could make a reverse-crafting recipe like you did for watermills.
-
why was the magnalium plate to windmill recipe nerfed? It is pretty useless now. why would I want to spend aluminum and magnesium on something when I could use carbon plates?
any response to this greg?
