As nice as it sounds, IMO it will be even worse than the old system lag wise. Solar spamming wouldn't be stopped, simply reverted to IC1 style solar flowers into multiple batboxes, so the packet limit would be easily avoided. IC2 doesn't add spectrum dust, so glass fibre cables can't use it
As nice as the idea is, which BTW I think could be really fun and interesting wiring wise, has ways to get around the obstacles (packets) and would make big IC2 wiring set ups pretty laggy (from the sound of things).
What would be cool if Player inergrated some of this into what ever he has planned, and see what comes out of doing so.

If that doesn't work/if you want something else to do, how about my Sawmill idea?

I think you mean the glass box crashes on 1.7.2, since on 1.7.10 it's working fine for me.
-
Pretty sure you can't fill it in 1.7.2, but can in 1.7.10 since biogas was added.

EDIT: So by reading around it seems that it is intended... right?
Yes, the most you could get with that is 400 mB of normal steam, or 200 mB of superheated steam. Which would be 0 bar, 4 mB of water or 220 bars with 2 mB of water.
-
Where does that leave scrapboxes then? Liquid scrap wouldn't from into a nice box unless you casted it, but this isn't Tinkers.
Scrapboxes sometimes drop cool junk out of them, and last 9x longer in the mass fab.
Also, isn't it 10m EU for UU, and 1m with scrap?
-
Gold pipes can only move 40mB per tick, so a boiler making 100 mB would not have all the steam removed, so it will be vented, hence steam explosions.
The condenser is used to stop the steam explosions for some reason. A boiler with nothing attached but a condenser will never have steam explosions if set up right.

I have the feeling the wiki permissions need a rework/cleanup anyways..
Something more open would probably be good
That'd be good, considering normal users can't even make their own talk pages, or user page. -
BluePower (The original BluePower from me. Not the one Quetzi started after me, emulating RedPower's mechanics. So, with that said, go look at their mod, it's really awesome.).
OMG, so from Redpower, we have Redpower, Blue Power, Also Bluepower, and Project Red? -
I'd help, if I didn't end up getting crap like this every time I try to save an edit

400 hU is the max since you need 1 face to get the outputted steam and 1 to put water/distilled water back in.

Last time I tried, a rapier bypassed Q-suit's protection. That was 1.6.4 though.
-
The Q-Suit Chestplate is meant to make you immortal, yet mods like Tinkers Construct add armour avoiding weapons, which therefore ignores the immortality, meaning that the high cost isn't really worth it. Is there any way to make it avoid the armour avoiding tools, so you are immortal out right? Like applying Resistance V, which means you can't take any damage, but without the particle effects?
This is mainly so that the Quantum Suit is the best armour end game, rather than being behind one which just adds health to you, like Tinker's or Botania's, which BTW wreck the Nano-sabre's ability to one shot non electric armour wearing people, but that's a different point.
-
That'll work for me.
Thinking about it, it'd be nice if we had a config for what counted as metal boots, since there a quite a few mods which add them, Railcraft's steel boots for example, which don't work but logically should.
-
Add supermagnetic upgrade which allows anything to be magnetized upwards, no need for metallic boots or whatever anymore. Increases power consumption by a factor of 5.
How does this affect if you've got metal boots? Does it still have the increased power consumption? -
Biogas is an amazing power source as long as you have a way to keep it stocked on bio-chaff, but I always used lava to heat it, since the electric one only used to make 60 hU while the liquid heat exchanger made 200.

You need 1 bucket of your water/distilled water in the first (left) tank of the canning machine per coolant cell you want. An empty cell per coolant cell you want in the left slot, 1 lapis dust per coolant cell you want in the middle (8 each if you use normal water), and the coolant cells will output in the right slot. No second canning machine required.
