Not really - IC1 was always called IC, and IC2 always IC². It's only now that IC is so old that no one calls it by it's proper name

That's just plain annoying. If you've silk touched ore, you want more of the normal drop, not stuff that you might only use once or twice.

I've tried this, and you can't. You might be able to do liquid -> EU cooling, but that'd get you no EU

The point is it has support for IC2 puller and ejector upgrades. A chest doesn't.

Now that we've got puller upgrades, you can both push and pull from IC2 machines - pipes! The issue is, there isn't a good way to form a pipe line, because IC2 machines only accept items that they can process. I suggest a buffer type machine is added that has 6 slots, and can accept puller and ejector upgrades, so it can form a pipe. The sorting machine could have it's recipe changed to use it as a crafting component to form a kinda of tier system too.

The puller upgrade could do with a recipe first too, and a way to actually set it's direction

The whole planner is outdated, not just it's crafting recipes.

If the normal pipe type methods don't work from the bottom of the pad, then I doubt you can.

The turning table was added in 1.7.10, so that is why you can't craft the components added to make it at the same time.
