Java 8 is currently recommended by Mojang, although it kind of depends which version of Minecraft you are using. I found playing FTB Ultimate using Java 8 was a crash waiting to happen (I think it's the same with Java 7, not sure though).

What's the crash report say?

How viable is this? I'm pretty sure there isn't an energy API available for mobs.

Both have their advantages. With flatlands, you could easily find and blow up villages, and with normal worlds, you can easily blow up terrain. Mmm. Not sure which one is better.

Give us more information. What version of OS X are you running? What version of java are you running? Does your mac suck or rock? I know mine rocks

And people in the comments are getting me and boni confused, lol.

Weird. It's probably because BR stuff is registered in the postInit phase

That's a good sign

Welp, I'm a genius.

So, everybody has had this one their mind since Heat has been added. It's obvious that this should of been added a long time ago. It's so good of an idea, it should of been added in IC1 version 1.0.0.
So my ingenious idea is...
Hot Tubs!

Hi there!
Just in case this is not already a known issue: It appears that the Remote Thermal Monitor does not get any more EU energy after the chunk it resides in has been unloaded/loaded. Although i first noticed this on a multiplayer server, I am able to reliably reproduce this problem in single player: Place the monitor next to the output of a filled BatBox. The monitor's energy bar fills up and stays at 100%. Then teleport to distant coordinates so that the monitor's chunk will be unloaded. After teleporting back to the monitor, its energy bar diminishes until empty and stays empty, even when reconnected or removed/placed again.
This appears to happen with both current versions: Version 2.1.2a and Version 2.2.0a-Yolo. The IC2 version I'm using is industrialcraft-2-2.2.688-experimental, MC is 1.7.10.
I'm using a heavily modded client, so I don't rule out that the problem might be caused by mod interference or by using an incompatible IC2 version (?).
Cheers,
GwaniI was unable to replicate this issue. I found that the monitor was slightly glitchy with energy, but no energy was missing or going down in an unnatural way. Try using IC2 706, that's the version I'm using.

Check out AOBD, it will work if Metallurgy is ore-dictionary-ized.

Wait this means i can only use the super old Java 4?
No, that's what's in the unsupported thingies sections
Going to look into the recent issues, there appears to be more of them I though.
