I seriously got no clue what inspired me to write a story with such a "dark" ending.
But I think it's just like that sentence "Without light, there is no shadow; without shadow, noone can see the light."
If only good stuff happens... wouldn't one forget about what "bad" actually was and as well stop realising what the few good things are, taking them as granted standard?
It's the same with storys, I guess... If stories always end all happy, cheerfull and stuff... You start to take a happy ending for granted. This story is for all people out there who share my view. Sometimes, just occasionally... you need a story with a tragic end, to be reminded of what could happen if the almighty hero did not succeed in his ultimate task, for once.
And even then this storys ending could have been worse. I mean, yes, everyones dead... but given everything has to die at some point, it's just as the last sentence said. At least they could die together.
