And since IC2 is not released yet, Eloraam can take her time with the release of RP.

I would also pledge for the release of the current version, with a bugfix afterward, as long as there are no game breaking bugs present.
Buildcraft did a semi-official release of their pre-version, and for me it's working great :)

    Hehe nice one xd

1 thing i can tell you if they release it now we nuclear engineers will figure out what every component does and track any leftover bugs :). Might create some craters in the process but that whats nuclear engineering is all about xd.

Those things re inherently evil. Thy make crossbreeding a painful repetitive chore. I say, sack them entirely and replace it with SeedManager add-on.

Hehe gotta agree. The whole cropsystem could use some changes.

But why not release the beta? There's been 2 weeks of testing going on and if the testers didnt find any gamebreaking stuff (cropnalyser is not gamebreaking ppl hardly use it) then you can assume its playable i guess. There will always be these little bugs no matter how much you test it in beta.

aaaaaaand BANHAMMER!!!! Oh and congrats for your first (and last) post lol.

But seriously this guy does have a point other than alblaka teasing us with that very clear (not..) drawing of him i didnt heard anything about how the beta is going. But i guess other than more very clear drawings we wont get much info.

Its a breeder reactor for heavy metals and a gambler machine for high EU in the long run. Eventually I'll implement iron, tin, and gold along with uranium produced in the process. So its less of an EU machine and more of a materials machine. Real fusion reactors have little to no energy return, so I felt I should do the same here. And make my own unique version of a fusion reactor in the process. If you want an EU fusion reactor, go see Greg's model. Mine is a heavy metal machine like an old star.

Its also a way to get EU back for other processes in the mod, but that's not the reason its implemented.

    Sounds cool

I remeber watching one of Direwolf20's server lp's a few weeks ago, with RichardG complaining about CASUC's in general -- apparently they have been the bane of the IC2 team for a while. But I can understand why the CASUC nerf was was done -- a CASUC reactor can supply much more power than any other form of power generation, at a far lower cost. A well-made, 6-chamber casuc can output 2200+ Eu/t at a cost of less than 200 iron ingots, or a mere 25 machine blocks; even geothermal generators with their relatively mighty 20 eu/t don't even come close to that amount of power output.

Get your facts right pls a 6 chamber reactor alone costs 184 iron ignots already then you still have to make the whole CASUC system and iam pretty sure thats gonna cost alot more than just 16 ignots.

The max output with buckets is 2020 eu/tick because you have to have some free space for the buckets. With ice you can go higher but you also lose eu because you have to make ice unless you are using EE cheat.

The idea of machines requiring some extra attention is fine, it will add some realistic complexity. After all it's not fun to just repeat and polish one and only factory design. The only concern is the correct implementation that will not hinder the creation of new automated designs.
Let me ask - why are you playing MC with IC2?

Well not because i want to be a maintenance guy

Those ad challenge to the game or have other uses while breakdown of machines is just crappy annoying shit that only consumes time. You cant implement this as this would break all our machines. Go make a addon for yourself because the rest of us here dont want this.

I would like backpacks that you just equip in a special 'backpack' armor slot and it would increase your inventory space.

oh and just because backpacks are in another mods that doesnt mean IC2 cant have backpacks. Not everybody uses forestry or EE.

It is not hard to calculate energy output limit. Each eu/t needs extra one cooling. So, for non-casuc, theoretical limit is around 54(inner) + 12(chambers) +20(water blocks)=86 eu/t

There are reactors with a higher effective output than 86 eu/tick. Probably because you forgot the fact that when you put components around uranium cells the uranium cell will produce less heat.
