Because the core of the planner is IC2's reactor code and that the IHDs interact with each of it neighbours in turn. Flipping the design causes the IHDs to interact with it's neighbours in a different order.
My applet hasn't got the most gracful code and it could be written much better, but it only started off as a side project of mine so I could teach myself the basics of applet GUI design.
But reactors ingame should perform exactly the same as the reactor planner says?

That's a rather cool idea, but a lone tree is suspicious, better plant some more. So really... forget about solar-flowers, solar-trees are the next generation

Well at 50% of max heat (where max heat is 10000+1000*reactorchambers) it starts to evaporate water. You can use this to shut it down. It can also burn wool (dunno at what heat anymore).

Hes putting the solar panel Above the cavern base not inside, he want a way to hide the solar panels above.
But yeah its not posible, any block you place will most likely block the view from the sky condition.
I didnt mention cavern i just said you cannot place them underground. Any block except glass stops the energy production. Using glass isnt exactly 'hidden'

Solar panels arent meant to be used underground i mean did you ever see someone placing solar panels in a cave in reallife?....Switch to nuclear or water power.

Thats alot of designs but i wont have time to check them all till tomorow. I did expanded the list of rules a bit namely for CASUC designs (to clarify those are not allowed in this topic)

So what effect does the constant feed of ice have on my reactor? It seems to be cooling the internal components very well but is not allowing me to run the reactors with a longer on time percentage. That was my intention, to see if it were possible to increase my run vs off time through ice feed.
Another thing I just noticed while playing with that other reactor program. No matter what config I make, when I add ice, the generation to cooldown time ratio remains the same. I add ice and say 2 blocks per second and it calculates my generation time being about 50% greater, but the cooldown time goes up 50% as well. No matter what options I pick, my Generator "on" time remains at 2.5%. This is confusing. I'm not sure about this program. The values are very confusing, glitchy and don't make sense. I think the program itself is malfunctioning.
Reactor is heating up at 1200 heat. This is reduced by the ice with 300 so every sec 900 heat is added to the reactor. The problem is the components cant simply keep up with that and they heat up slower than the reactor which makes it possible for the reactor to go boom before even a component has melted.

Well stuff like detector blocks to see if ice/buckets are flowing and tripwires reduce the risk of a glitchy meltdown alot. Also make the entire reactor in 1 chunk this is very important!!

There is already a low loss when you transport power over long distances. Just use glassfiber and you can transport power far out of chunk load range.

hmm.. when was this? I think I last tested things in 1.23, wonder if the resistance of re stone has changed.Explosion power also depends on how much uranium there is in a reactor. For CASUC the bare minimum to reduce most damage is 3 layers but that will cause some enviromental damage. Better go with 4 or 5.

Ye but its still just UU matter i mean after you got enough of it it starts to become useless. With 1 CASUC reactor you already get more than you consume. On the other hand some evil wmd powered by this is simply EVIL
