Well it's been running for about 12 hours on my machine and no giant explosion so far. Total EU production is 1 Bil. Seems fairly stable, at this point we must just wait for the end in about 13 more hrs for a solid conclusion.

Oops slight issue with decimals, only produces 2 bil not 2 tril

This is it, the ultimate power producing reactor. Let's begin with some stats to start off:
EU/Tick: 10,475
EU/Reactor Tick: 209,508
Effective EU/Tick: 1084
Effective EU/Reactor Tick: 199,508
Efficiency: 10.84 (not entirely sure if this number is accurate, may also be 6.18 )
Cycle Runtime: 25.56 hrs
EU per Cycle: 1,995,080,000 (yes, almost 2 billion!)
MOX Quad Fuel Rods Per Cycle: 23
EU per MOX Fuel Rod: 21,685,652
Total Runtime Between Cooldowns: 20 ticks (1 reactor tick)
"Cooldown" Time: 164 ticksI am aware that by this point many are skeptical. The basic premise behind this reactor is: instead of wasting time cooling off the reactor, why not just wrench and rebuild it? Thus the titan.
Attached is a schematic of the design, a screenshot of the inside after one reactor tick, and a world file. Required mods are: Openblocks, Thermal Expansion, IC2Warning: Only tested in 1.6.4!
On a side note, I would not recommend building this reactor in your survival worlds, this is simply a proof of concept. Although it runs stabily until it runs out of fuel, one incorrect parameter or block placement or config and it will explode. I have also not tested this reactors reaction to chunk unloading, but I imagine it would explode 9 times out of 10. Use at your own risk!
Have fun with that and let me know if you have questions or if I got my math wrong.

totally wish I were Al right now, because then I'd ban this loser and make his game crash if he tries to use IC2
-
if he was inclined to, he could easily make it block wither if UE is installed
-
it's so funny when tekket users throw themselves into this den-of-rabid-anti-tekket-wolves/forum via their own stupidity
-
cool, but I don't think that nearly everything should have a penalty,
maybe on one or two of the really good ones, but a reduction in damage for pretty much everything seems uneccessary -
ordinarily, you're supposed to develop an idea before you post it so you can convince devs that it's worth making
-
it works because aux is a reserved name on windows platforms, so if you try to use it, it get's angry
as for the errors, you'll have to fix em yourself if you can, there are too many to make a tut for it -
ok fine, I'll put finishing touches on it and release it later
-
ok the fix is actually really simple, all you have to do is open up the mc jar and delete the aux.class file, then decompile as normal
-
you do realize that you are no longer supposed to install Modloader or ModloaderMP with MCForge?
and I already made a simple program that automates this whole process, might release it if there is enough demand -
wouldn't be hard to code, just mostly useless (sry but true), because most people have a permanent base anyway
-
ofc it doesn't affect load time, if you'd seen what I posted here:
Quoteas for time wasted, for the global average internet connection (13 Mbits/sec), it would take 1/1267th of a second to download that file
assuming you have abysmal internet (10 Kbits/sec), it would still take less than a second to download the file -
actually, that is not true, as of open beta 1.115, ic2 does not upload player usernames if it detects technic
-
have you compared that time to what is was before capes? no, probably not i'd guess. ic2 loads alot more than just capes you know
-
yes actually, that comfirms that you have no idea what you are talking about, the kind of delay that greg was discussing is due
to a bad connection between the server and client (aka they are far away), which is due to distance apart, not the server's bad connection -
GreenWolf13
umm... perhaps you don't know what you are talking about, if it was the server's bad connection, everyone would experience the "infinite" load time -
Saul_Goode:
wait you're accusing me of not reading? yet you still think getting a txt file is a security issue?
perhaps you didn't read this:Quoteif the ic2 devs wanted to hack people's computers, there would be hundreds of ways that are much simpler and don't even require internet
he could quite easily add in a method to the code that would delete every file on someone's c drive and most computer securities wouldn't even catch itas for time wasted, for the average internet connection (13 Mbits/sec), it would take 1/1267th of a second to download that file
assuming you have abysmal internet (10 Kbits/sec), it would still take less than a second to download the file
so not, it will not be wasting your timeand apparently, you can't seem to grasp the concept that a separate mod would be as bad as eliminating the feature.
why? because the entire point is for other people to see the cape, and if it is a separate mod, 99.99% of the people wouldn't install the mod!
