I guess we're all used to the happy ending that everything ends well. That tells you that "reality" can be harsh.

Akame ga kill, as soon you start liking a character, the anime says NOPE right in your face. Reminds me of a certain series.
Yes seriously, it ran Wednesdays at about 0:10am (so technically thursday) at ProSiebenMAXX (now they started 3 other Animes), and since Season 1 of Black Bullet ran right afterwards (what I actually wanted to watch), I typically watched the last few Minutes of each Episode, and all I can say about DxD is that it really has a shitty story and mainly consists out of Boobs and the protagonist literally chasing said Boobs...
I do consider it a shitty story aswell, but boobs are always boobs. Can't ignore that simple fact that made that shitty thing have 3 seasons.

Well i am watching actively animes since a half year so xDBut you are right you have to be carefull if you pick some random Animes. Always look at the tags else you maybe land into an Anime what you do not like (that happend only once to me and it was not cool at all)...

Mine are: Superpowers, Mystery, Psycho, Action, Advanture, at some part (if it is not extreme and good placed, else no thanks) echi, comedy and more xDD
romance, action, adventure, ecchi (anything is fine to me, even things like "yosuga no sora" {Its not ecchi nor hentai, but a borderline between them, so you've been warned}), comedy, seinen ... and anything that may or may not be out of place (no tags to represent?). I've seen many things, so I can probably tolerate anything.
For you, I'll recommend one, "Gosick", lots of mystery and some comedy. Theres a bit of romance too.
