yes
I think that doesnt help...

What is happening at all : Pure non-sense :3
Backstory :
Wind Engineer, (me), learned the secrets of the matter, allowing easier management of the same and easy generation of energy.
Currently, since the ship i am doesnt have space propulsion, due an emergency flee to escape the spambots in the farlands, i'm unable to use solar winds (plasma flow) to generate energy and have to sustain my tiny ship using minecraftia's wind and the magnetic waves that penetrate in the atmosphere.
I'm mass fabricating materials meanwhile. Whenever i gather enough material to build a space propulsion, i will set off.
In the farlands, anything that is not shielded against its corruption code, will eventually perish to death.
Thats why i'm safe here, for now. -
(I'm just expressing an opinion, so don't take it seriously) :
IC² userbase was kept alive because GT was there, innovating (almost) everyday, because IC² itself had no considerable new features for a very long time, just a few almost unoticeable additions.
Now that the majority of IC² users are also GT users, IC² had to change. -
-
Yea, a bit.
Even though GregoriusT is now on IC² team, those changes are being made by player and thunderdark.
Probably they did like GT style, which makes you to realistically craft plates and some other components to craft major stuff, instead of simply smashing some random things together. -
It is an unstable build, meant for overhaul of most things and new features, thats why it is unstable.
API, E-net and many things are being changed.Meanwhile, stay with lf builds (or the experimental one before the e-net change, if you don't want machines exploding).

Suggestion : Electric Boiler
As the name says, it uses electrical energy to boil water into steam.
It also naturally accepts MJ and can convert MJ into steam more efficiently.Ratios :
1 EU = 1.9 mB of steam (5% loss)
1 MJ = 4 mB of steam (20% loss)Since UE Joules are directly converted into EU, it is 40 J = 1.9 mB of steam.

This forge mod does the same :
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1832047-…-mods-included/But i don't want to install it just for darkness

-
@above : That crash is probably caused by IC² experimental being not compatible with most addons, due Enet overhaul (and many other things).

In my opinion, as long it is helpful (which is the case for new players), it is fine.
I would add your link to gregtech wiki, if you had a section dedicated to it.
If you are willing to make one, don't forget that GT changes Forestry Bronze (to keep IC² ratio) , BC quarry, UE plates (uses GT one instead, its cheaper, material-wise) and several IC² stuff. -
We have been discussing a kind of LESU like multiblock for energy Storage, Not sure how it would be like though.
How about it being expandable just like GT one, however allowing multiple "control blocks" or wireless (32 blocks max transmission, loss depends on distance (10<x<50), special upgrade on machines).

A small rework idea :
RTG "pellet" (100 grams) produces 12,5 EU/t for plutonium and strontium, 3,125 EU/t for americium.
Each RTG can hold up to 10 pellets.
Plutonium pellets are expensive to make (requires much radiaoctive fuel , uranium, to extract from {or breed from}), lasts forever
Americium pellets are moderate to make (centrifuge depleted nuclear fuel cell for 25g of americium and 1000g of strontium)
Strontium pellets are very cheap to make, however they don't last forever and will run out after some time [2 days] -
You could have raided a village, but i doubt it is easy to find one, in time.

Lol, not spawning with a flint axe wasnt intentional? I just used creepers to get my first wood, then made some axes.
That was a smart one.
-
Temporary solution : a chest full of flint axes on the spawn, with a sign : Take one, and only one, you are going to need it.
-
Given enough time, technology overwhelms anything, including itself.

Radioisotope Thermalelectric Generator (RTG) is a special nuclear generator for IC² experimental as you probably know.
What you could implement (and wouldn't be so OP), is a RTG module.
RTG modules are items that are carried in your inventory. Those will provide energy to items in the following order : Hotbar, armor, other items of inventory.
They generate energy based on amount of Pu, Am or Sr inserted, in grams.
Radioactive Fuel can be added using canning machine. That same fuel, if held without protection, gives radiation poisoning (like IC² U235) for 3 minutes and fire for 5 seconds (those fuels generates heat by themselves [radioactive decay]) .NBT tags are used to express amount (in grams) of radioactive fuel inside. Mixing fuels is possible, as long it doesnt exceed the maximum 500g. If it does, it will give negative effects.
If a player uses way too much radioactive fuel (without proper casing), it will give negative effects. To counter that effect, make sure RTG fuel is properly encased in iridium-lead-graphite .Cheap RTG module :
Iron-lead casing.Expensive RTG module
Iridium-lead-graphite casing.Every RTG module can hold up to 1kg of radioactive fuel.
The cheap one gives negative effects after 50g.
50g is the maximum safe, 50<x<200 randomly damages you, 200<x<350 randomly poisons and ignites you, 350<x<500 "previous effects" + randomly withers you, x>500 = permanent radiation poison, wither and fire damage as long the item is held. The expensive one gives negative effects after 500g
Same effects as above, but 500<x700 (poison) , 700<x<850 (poison + fire), 850<x1000 (poison + fire + wither) -
No problem, just post other bugs you find there (including this one) and its all good.
