That make me remember about a starcraft 2 mission where you are given a control of a laser drill and the mission is to destroy a building, however it can be turned around and kill protoss and stuff. This mining bore is the perfect defensive weapon anyway, but to balance it (probably) this need GregT computer cube

That mission is to get a part of the anti-zerg artifact which is sealed inside a temple.

Anyway, that would be even cooler, as people can use stuff designed to mine as weapons, like the laser itself.
Imagine several people controlling mining bores firing at someone's base. It would be cool if it were able to mine through hard blocks, requiring time.

The thing is, I'd expect from real life parallel that bronze armor to be even less effective and durable than iron. So okay, lets assume minecraft iron armor is not a good or well crafted armor as the bronze, there is still a way between iron and diamond,- according to the wiki, one half of an armor bar is 4% damage reduction, iron being 60% and diamond 80%- that's 4 different protection value than any single type armor set currently.

Also, according to the IC2 wiki bronze is like iron only more durable, (but not as diamond),subverting both my expectation for lesser durability and preEDIT: the recipe and resources says only about durability being 30% better. The individual armor pieces pages (which i've never seen before) have the correct info.

If i may overstep into the suggestion forum, i think a good compromise is making bronze less\as durable as iron, buff it's helmet and leggings(1) by 1 half bar each for the 8% between iron and diamond(2), and make it more enchantable than iron(3).

Logic: (1)making it fit with a pack and rubber/static boots, (2)filling the armor niche of mid-high tier when you have a handful of diamonds but would rather use them for machines or tools, and as well(3) getting to the start of enchanting and just giving a little "mythical" feel to bronze armor- think about ancient royal ornamented bronze armor and such- or just compare the last thing you saw made of bronze versus the last thing you saw made of iron.

Don't expect minecraft mods (and minecraft itself) to follow real life. Expect it to follow game balance.

This is a public problem- it affects all of us. It seems as though solving it in public is appropriate. Especially after the way I was treated by Magus Union in public.

It affects only your players , not us (so it doesnt include me) :D .
We are all humans, we all do mistakes, we all screw with stuff (and other people) sometimes.
He will fix it Soon (TM).

@Greg: Well... yeah... but this thread is more about narcissistic rage and view point pushing, than the actual topic.. so..
    "I don't give a fuck gif"

Thats pretty true. Anyway, I just gave my opinion and won't force him to agree with it. I "http://www.manaleak.com/mtguk/files/2013/01/animated-shrug-house.gif" about it.

This. I tried changing IC ore IDs to numbers lower than 255 and it worked! Thank you very much. (It's unclear why Optifine doesn't support high values, though)

Because IDS higher than 256 are forge 4096 block IDs "fix". Optifine only has COMPATIBILITY with forge so both can work if they are installed together, but both are independant.

*Ahem* weren't you the one, who wanted a "special" GregTech-Cape?

Correcting, i don't give a fuck about capes "making my minecraft take 0.1 second more to load".
Even if i didn't have one, the ones who develops (and owns) the mods have their right to add their own capes [including to their donators, like GT and Optifine].
Seriously, why bothering about capes if they actually do not interfere that much on minecraft loading? Not even one second to me, i believe.

    OK, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...

Saul Goode, can you provide, ANY proof that there is code in the mod that gives the IC2 devs and testers a special cape. Also, unless your using a VERY early computer and a REALY crap Internet connection, your complaining about "code" that is smaller (in terms of bytes) then a empty notepad document. I said this in my last post here, IT"S A F^&%%$N CAPE, GET OVER IT!!!! It's just somthing to say "I work on/test IC2". Would anyone complain if Krapht or Sengir put a cape code into buildcraft? or how about Xen0 and Pahimar for EE3 and Reliquary? I don't here anyone complain about the Mojang capes. Now PLEASE, DROP THE SUBJECT, and if it's really bugging you, that much, stop playing IC2

Now if you would excuse me, I have to go calm down

    +1 . Enough talking shit.

My sincere opinion to Saul Goode :
I don't give a fuck about capes. It only takes you 3 minutes to load mods because your computer/internet/both are (very) crappy.
It is NOT cape's fault or any mod developer and they have NO OBLIGATION TO DO WHAT YOU WANT. They are providing you mods for free to play and you still want them to modify their mods due you being selfish? Nope. It is their code and they do whatever they want with it, if they want to implement capes for themselves, its their right to do so. If you don't like those capes just don't use their mods.

I really would like to close this thread, but i'm not allowed to.
