ever without rubber trees you can get rubber from sticreeds, it a bit longer but still provide rubber.
True, but i guess getting stickreed takes a long time and getting it early in the game is usually not something you do.

I play on a Survival Server, and i don't have Ice, you can only get Ice
from the creative inventory or you have an Silk Touch Tool, but i don't
have these two things.
You may not have those things, but if you are playing with IC² you certainly have compressors and you may not have enough time to find out that they can make ice out of snowballs which are easily obtainable.
He is suggesting to forum devs to give GregTech a subforum, so its valid i think.
Anyway, as a big fan and supporter of GregTech Intergalactical i would like it.
Probably a subforum in Addon section.
Wouldn't it be more effective to build wind towers from layer 182 upwards, and just add an additional column of torches for every 7 blocks you go up?
That wouldn't work well as it would generate the same energy as 181 layer towers, also if you try to stack them (having one tower above other), you might have some problems with obstructions... which i didn't manage to create a "design", yet.
Horizontal "towers" could be stackable, but i need to make an effective design first (which i'm currently too lazy [and busy] to do that).
Edit :
@Greg : Had to transfer my image files from photobucket to dropbox, one image on your post have to be changed :
So the question is what could cause a water mill to fail to output power to a cable, despite being full of water (including being manually filled by hand) and yet the mill is still able to charge a tool manually placed into it?
When it has nowhere to output the energy, no energy requesting block (FULL Batbox, MFE, MFSU and machines).
FPS was pretty even. The faster machines would process up to 6 stacks of cobblestone into sand before the machines on the other side would finish their own. Could also just sit with the inventory open and watch the speed at which the "in progress" indicator was moving at. Some were cycling rapidly, others were slowly inching along.
Then i can assume slower machines were not receiving enough energy to keep the operation at maximum speed...
Another thing is that machines closer to Storage bank have priority over farther ones, so it receives more energy.
Ice melts itself...
Or destroy it with a pick (make sure there is a block/liquid below it) to get water source.
Thank you both. To clarify the set up, there were about 8 MFSU's all feeding into a single line that left the building they were in, crossed a 4 block alleyway, and went into the next building before running along all the macerators.
Thinking back I remember now that all the macerators had 64 power storage upgrades on them because hey, creative mode. These were present in both instances. Also, none of them were flickering in either set-up. Just running at different speeds.
I'm not sure if this would change anything. And you're right, I misspoke, I was using a flipped HV transformer given a redstone current to emit EV.
How did you know they were running at different speeds... ?
Also if item is inserted at same time, they are supposed to output it at the same time, given enough energy.
Another thing might be FPS problems, FPS lower than 20 can cause some machine operation delay.
If you are using overclocked macerators, thats why they are running on different speeds and may flicker on/off due its tiny internal storage.
Add a battery upgrade on each and you may run it on HV without problem.
2048 EU is bigger than its internal storage and machines with 3 transformer upgrades are able to store it (even though it is over its internal storage capacity).
compress snowballs -> ice
More specific :
Snowman -> snowballs (block breaker or anything related if you want to automate) -> compressor -> ice.
BTW, thx for fixing this.
Our whole server now stop using scaffolds for energyproduction and switched to burning blazerods, since they got T5 spawners from soulshards ... oO
Perhaps those should only be able to be turned into energy in geothermals or something
Scaffold is really not the most OP thing you had on your server...
Another necroposting!
Well, i suppose this "suggestion" and "discussion" about lightning rods and such is pretty useless as we have GregTech...
Closed.
The IC²-Recipe for Bronze is much more balanced (even though unlogical due to the loss), considering the fact that Bronze is an Iron equivalent in more than just the Tool Recipes. SirSengir decided to make his 4 Bronze long time after IC² made its Bronze. And thats even unbalanced within Forestry itself (too easy to just spam Forestry Machines).
Thermal Expansion also makes 2 Bronze instead of 4. Since more Mods, and previous Bronze adding Mods decided to use 2 Bronze instead of 4, I would recommend you to ask SirSengir to fix it. (or to install GregTech, which automatically fixes it *totally not Advertising*)
This, and ...
Forestry itself is overpowered, doesnt matter its expense.
ID conflict between Nuclear control and trainsomething Assembly table.
Change Nuclear control IDS or trainsomething IDS to something different and it will work.
Did you try disconnecting and connecting again?
If yes, they might have despawned or something i don't know.
I've already teleported some villagers, but with mystcraft portals, it worked normally.
Simply stick said cable in the air and... Tada! Instantaneous lightning rod. I guess its not one until you choose to make it one.
Although, it does seem superfuel doesn't exist with the permanently hidden spot in Nei.
Edit: seemingly missed time.. I command this post to thrive with life!
Or just make GregTech Intergalactical Lightningrod, which actually gives energy (25 million EU) from lightning strikes.
Water strainers output up to 2 EU/t, given enough water (ALOT).
You will require something that produces alot of water, like Thermal expansion Aqueous Accumulator.
Also i'd suggest you to get more mods to produce energy, like adv generators, compact/advanced solars, GregTech Intergalactical (Tier IV Tech) [These are on addon section]
Maybe making Rotten Supplies cannable using Salt?
Thats nearly the same as making spoiled food consumable again just by adding salt.
No there isn't. Only Limit is your Computer.
Either way, there is technically a limit to the number of packets in a line, and given that you can't have a partial packet, packets in one line per tick are probably stored in an integer, so 2,147,483,647 packets. If you actually have a computer that can handle that many, you could probably sell it for several billion dollars, given that it has about as much processing power as a large server farm.
Yay, i wasnt wrong!
Suggestion :
Allow Electrolytic Separators output Hydrogen in tubes, pipes, ducts using either your own "liquid" hydrogen or GregTech ones.
